Option 4M5 will be special-added to your build for Full Leather dash in full Black with the Full Leather option- current price is about $900 MSRP. Any other customization (different stitching color, any other section of the dash in another color) will be charged extra with another option code.

I was really stressing over whether I should get full leather until u sat in a M3 today with extended leather. I wasn't bothered by the non leather and it felt ok to the touch and was definitely more upscale than on the M340i. My last Seven series had full leather and I thought I could not live without it. Most people I know can't tell the difference between leather and plastic dash any way and I don't have a membership at a country club.

I had full leather dash on our S600 MB and also on my Porsche 911 GTS. The problem I have with it is when cleaning the windshield, the spray cleaner gets on the leather, and in the case of the Mercedes, spotted the surface. I then started covering the dash before cleaning the windows, but you can't do that if going to a car wash. I opted out of full leather this time for my M4.

I can understand if you have animals that ride in the car with you. But as far as heat goes, really, how the hell long are you leaving your $100k car parked in the sun?

Even if you live in an apartment, you've either got covered parking, or pay for the garage. I originally specd Kylami Orange, but changed it to black, not because of having too much orange, but because I'd seen videos of blue jean transfer onto the seats. I wasn't trying to deal with that. Switched to black and I love it. I wish I would have gotten ivory, the more I see it, though. And the jeans would have definitely transferred with that color.

I should hope not if animals are left in the car....

A lot of people don't have a garage or access to shaded parking where they live, hence why they should be applying a ceramic window tint and using a windshield sun screen, especially if they opted for full leather.

100% not leaving animals in the car, and full ceramic tint, is a must. My last 6 cars have had all windows/ windshields tinted with top quality ceramic. My go to is either Formula One Stratos or XPel Prime XR Plus.
