Completely square setup 20x10.5 wheels, 285/30 tires
I purchased the 2 rims from someone on the forum, but you can buy them new for like $950 each (ouch!)
Pirelli tires, so yea I had to cut the fender wells.
Running 10F/12R Dinan spacers, but probably going to test 12F/15R (IMO there is a little more room)
Lowered on H&R Super Sport springs (these don’t go as low on an Xdrive by the way)… on RWD they will sit lower
Dude, that's sick!

Quick question. Are you saying that the xDrive Super Sports have a different drop height than the RWD version or are you saying that they are the same but the xDrive version is sitting higher than the RWD version?

I’m saying the Super Sport kit for Xdrive (product #50498-77) does not lower the amounts published. I’m not sure why. There is a different product for RWD, but unsure if it’s actually a different set of springs.
A few other Xdrive owners have complained that the Super Sports do not lower the car as much as what is advertised on the H&R site as well. I actually just submitted photos and measurements to them last week on this issue, as it seems they didn’t do sufficient R&D on the Xdrive with this spring kit.
I measured bottom of rim to fender before and after lowering (once settled), and these were my results:
My car only lowered 1.25” in the front, and only .4” in the rear (and yes, I confirmed that I had the Super Sport kit, not the Sport kit.)
From what I have seen on the forums, this kit does appear to lower the full amount on RWD cars.

Ahhh, I got you. Yeah, your numbers definitely scream Sport kit. FWIW, that drop/stance looks great and is what I'm aiming for. But I understand you wanting to be lower and not getting it despite paying for it. Keep us posted man.

Would you say that after your drop, your front and rear gaps are pretty equal? They look it in pictures but I'm interested in your observation in person.

Yes, the gaps are almost identical. Just measured them and its maybe a mm difference. I’m not unhappy with the drop, just disappointed they are publishing completely incorrect numbers.
Also, as far as ride quality these springs are outstanding. Nothing will ever feel exactly like stock, but these ride super smooth. Not sure why people are saying the H&R springs bounce ?

Very cool. I'm going to be running exact same setup as you are The only difference is the front spacer. I will be running 5mm spacer in front 12mm spacer in rear. I am also RWD

This looks perfect! Can you share with me your setup? Obviously four 20 inch rear wheels but what tires, spacers and did you mod the fender liner?

I know its expensive but there is a replacement low pro fender liner, curious if anyone is running those or just cutting the fins.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Someone here is running them. I just saw the post somewhere on this forum. Pricey but affective! I think xph mike said he was able to run a larger front spacer with them too. So it appears you get a lot more clearance.

Question - if I am on stock suspension and swap to the 20x10.5 ET20 wheels in the front with NO spacers and then mount a slightly narrower tire - 275/30/20 - will I have clearance issues? I assume the wheel width is the issue being 12.7 mm "further in" with no spacer, but everyone also seems to run the rear 285/30/20 size whereas the 275/30 would not only be slightly narrower but also slightly smaller in diameter.

Just trying to understand if the issue is only when lowered or trying to run a spacer or if the spacer is a requirement due to the additional wheel width up front.

Thanks!

I have been thinking about this as well and was wondering the same thing. I have the Michelins and lowered on H&R Sports and when i test fitted the rears on the front it rubbed. I even thought about doing a 265/30/20 as well.

Do you need to trim the fender liner if you go 285/30/20 with NO drop or spacer. what about if you add a 10mm spacer?

I'm about to find out once and for all for everyone. I'm diving in head first.

Rear 826M 20x10.5s, Michelin 285/30/20s, 12mm spacers all around and no trimming up front. We'll see if it rubs in about week or so.
