Media Library/Import Missing in iDrive 8?

So in both my E90 (2009) and G30 (2018) I have a Media Library that allows me to copy songs from my USB thumb drive so that I don't always have to have the USB device connected. However, we don't seem to have any kind of Media Library or Import option in the G80 iDrive 8 system. Am I missing something here or is that indeed just the way it is now?

It's the way it is. No more internal storage for music. You can use the thumb drive and play off that.

Get a thumb drive way easier plus damn near unlimited capacity. They have some really large capacity micro drives which allow the console to remain closed.

Exactly. I put one of these in my father-in-law's car last year: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

$15, and a thousand albums in MP3 format (his car doesn't support FLAC) takes up only a quarter of that 128GB. That same collection in FLAC would just about fill the 256GB version, which is $25.
