Need some opinion on G82 paint
Hello everyone! I been looking at all of your G80s and they look so nice!
I've been enjoying my Dravit Grey M440i for a while now and am looking to upgrade to an M4 Comp. So I'm torn between getting Dravit Grey or Skyscraper Grey, but I need some help deciding which one to go for. Unfortunately I've only seen one G82 and no G80s here where I live, so I can't really tell which colour looks good. The body lines on my M440i are pretty muted (or lacking, to be precise) with Dravit, but I still enjoy looking at it. However, I believe the M4's body lines are sharper, and I'm not sure which paint would complement them best. It also snows for almost 8 months a year so it's not very sunny for them most part. I'm also open to other colours (I like IOMG, but too flashy for my taste). The individual paints are nice, particularly the frozen paints, but I think choosing one would delay my order more than I'm comfortable with. Additionally, I plan on getting the XPEL stealth PPF, so a Frozen paint in my opinion would be a waste of both time and money. As for the interior, I'm leaning towards KO. Thanks and happy Sunday! |

Skyscraper gray would be my first choice out of all three, with dravit second and Brooklyn third. Reason for that is I like how skyscraper basically goes from gray with a blueish tint in cloudy weather to a bright silver in sunny weather. It was my personal second choice after portimao blue! I highly recommend skyscraper over Fiona red or tartufo. Dravit gray is another beautiful option, the metallic flake is unmatched and if you really look closely at the paint you can see so many different colors in the paint. Would recommend tartufo, or kyalami orange As far as Brooklyn Gray I’m not a fan of the “primer” color a lot of new cars are seeming to be available in. I liked it before but I feel it’s been a bit too overplayed just like the IOMG over KO interior combo. Again a nice color but it feels like every other G8X is Brooklyn gray. Brooklyn gray works well with Fiona red, kyalami orange, black, and fjord blue interiors. Again everyone’s choice is different but that’s my recommendation. |

This might be unpopular opinion but the gold flakes in Dravit is a deal breaker for me. If you are going to full ppf the car I 100% would do individual paint. I don’t know if they do the $750 discount with 50th aniversary emblems anymore but that was a good deal. I also don’t think an individual paint delays your order much. Individual Gray Black (uni color) is the nicest grey imo. Its basically dravit without the gold flakes. I wanted a grey too and wasnt sure which one then i said screw it i want some color and went with Dakar Yellow🙃

Dravit is a much more interesting and complex colour than the other two, out of the three you’ve mentioned that would be my pick every time.

I’d say skyscraper would show lines and contours the best, but I think my white does a pretty good job at showing lines even though it’s non-metallic.
Also if you want an individual color, I’d go for it even if it means waiting ~2 more months. I wanted to get a bright blue individual color but the wait time steered me away. Although I like my Alpine White, if I could do it all over again I would definitely wait longer for individual paint. |

Can confirm the wait for an Individual color is worth it! Was 5 weeks in my case (from first week in March to second week in April), I believe it can be anywhere from 2-10 weeks.
