Post A tool for changing interior lighting colors with BimmerCode

After reading many threads about BimmerCode and using it to customize interior lighting colors, I decided to spend a few hours and make a tool to streamline the process.

Instead of manually converting the colors you want into hexadecimal and remembering the settings to change, now you just have to select the colors on a color chart and voilà–it presents you with the path to the settings to change, which byte numbers to modify, and the hexadecimal values of the colors you chose to place there.

Please let me know if you think it is useful, and if you can think of any improvements/additions that would be good to have.

This is for iDrive 8? And what color in the menu does it map to?

Thanks!

All I know is that it is supposed to work for the G series and BimmerCode. I think if it wasn't going to work, you would not be able to locate the relevant settings in BimmerCode.

If I understood the threads on this topic correctly, you shouldn't have to worry about which colors in the menu they map to, but if it turns out you do, byte 18 starts "Bronze," 23 starts the next, and 28 the one after that.

Note that I have not tried to change the colors on my car yet. That's why I've been asking for feedback–I don't know if it works or not
