ACC Radar Removal Implications.
Hello everyone,
I may be getter soon a used G80 with all options I want but has that ACC Radar Sensor which I dont like the placement at all. And FYI i do have it on my m50i and love the tech but it's in the middle and not eye sore like in the g80. So Anyone has tried removing it and coding? Or any other grill out there that hide it better? I know I will kick my head side to side every time I park and check back to my car. Lol.

Well firstly, removing the sensor would require a new grill, but besides that, it would require you decoding all of the features involved with it, which is the automatic driving plus adaptive cruise control. To me, that seems incredibly involved and I doubt anyone knows all of the modules and coding required to properly decode all of it. Any dealer 100% would not do this for you.
If you don't decode it, you'll get malfunction warnings constantly. IMO I'd just deal with it, and use the features :P |

Iean I have see some post in here that someone retrofit this which mean they need to do the coding to make it work. I will be doing it in reverse. Need to find the guy. |

It honestly depends on what's involved. If it's just VO coding in the specific option, that's trivial to just remove it. If it requires coding in multiple modules after that, it's a PITA.
