There is no reason for the dealer to wait for the so called deal to place an order. Looks like a shady one to me.

Right. Either he has an allocation or he doesn't. Sounds like he doesn't have an allocation so why wait until December 'deals'? Makes no sense

Not sure what you are referring to?

New lease program for December - yes
New allocations - it depends as each dealer gets a new batch of allocations at a certain interval and it varies from dealer to dealer.

Not really sure what he means, exactly what I said. I’m am basically checking on his bottom line total deal. Then I will present my price to 2 other dealers I like and have done business with in the past. They all have vin as I’m told. Just looking for best deal because I’m doing a Balloon payment at end.

Things are ways different post 2020 and things which you did in the past (presenting your offer) might not work now.

If the dealer already has a VIN for those vehicles, the spec is most likely locked and you are looking to buy a vehicle specced by the dealer, not an allocation where you can customize it.

VIN is assigned when the order hits status 150 and the build cannot be changed after that. VIN is different from the production number linked to an allocation which can be customized.

I think that’s what it is allocation and production number. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

What the hell. I called BMW financial to find out the rate they are charging. And they tell me ask the dealer. I kind of need to use bmw financing because of my good payment history. I have a good credit score. It will just be to hard to get approved not using them because of work history. Just needed to vent. Does anyone know the December rates

They wouldnt give it to you as dealer can mark up the base rates by 1%. Below post has current rate information for regular financing.

Lol good luck with that.

Feel free to shop around, but dealers are not going to fight for your business.

Pretty positive all the dealer..and you..we’re referring to was the interest rate deals. He was waiting for December’s rates. Although not sure how that is relevant because you are months from delivery if you haven’t even placed an order, and rates are subject to change every month.

I know they can mark it up to 1% that’s why I want to know. When you say regular financing that would include Select from BMW, correct.

So you can’t actually lock in the rate when I order the car. Just trying to iron my deal out, order will be placed within days at most.
