I just coded my car today - enabled B&W profile and disabled ASD. Car feels more natural now without the speaker sounds and in my opinion the B&W profiles sound *awesome*.

Anyway, just throwing it out there in case someone doesn't want to spend the $40 on the app and $80 on the OBD2 adapter. Would be cool to meet more locals also and give me an excuse to drive.

What is B&W?

One of the first things that I do when I get my car (August? -- prod date 6/9) is nuke active sound. Ugh.

Where are you in Wisconsin? I am in the Madison area.

I'm near Brookfield / Sussex. Yes definitely get rid of that. I drive to Madison now and then for work.

Bowers and Wilkins - sounds much better than with the Harmon Kardon profiles. Just let me know when you get your car, hopefully by August.

I will also have 1200 miles to burn so my son and I would be very happy to drive to you. My wife grew up in Sussex when it was still a small rural community.

Hello, my car is getting PPF right now but will hopefully be back to me by this weekend.

My son has the appropriate OBD device so I think we are just going to do this ourselves. Still would be up for a road trip to meet you!

But can you tell me where in BimmerCode to find the B&W profile?

I just got BimmerCode and am not hooked up to the car, but was playing around with demo mode.

QQ, would using the bimmercode potentially affect the warranty? I get that it isn't the same as an engine performance oriented ECU tune, but technically, it's still flashing over parts of the ECU, right? Or am I off here?

Wonder if using the bimmercode would be detectible by BMW and be used as an excuse to push back on a warranty claim.

What are your thoughts?

No clue to be honest. I would say it's harmless if you don't try and experiment with the advanced features.

I'm still a few months from delivery also (fingers crossed for late May/early June), and on the west end of Schaumburg.
