Any luck in finding an allocation lately in Texas? I'm based out of North Houston and have been told that it could be another year before my number's up for an allocation. I'm #10 on one of the Houston BMW dealers.

Appreciate any insights.

Have you tried other dealers within Houston area? I got mine from BMW West. From deposit to allocation was around 5 ish months. Not the greatest but better than a year.

Super late, but BMW Arlington has no waitlist with decent allocations each month, and selling for MSRP.

I'm sitting at the port as of yesterday. 9/9 production date.

Based on this schedule we would leave BREMERHAVEN on The Horizon Highway on 9/24 and arrive in Galveston on 10/10 if we are lucky. But this is just a guess, anything could happen..

Ok so looks like the Horizon Highway will reach Bremerhaven, Germany
ETA: Sep 23, 06:00. I'm hoping to see a change in status to selected for carrier assignment or at least in transit tomorrow or the day after. That way we will have our cars by Mid Oct. Or we will be seeing the in the first week of Nov which will really suck ass. I put my deposit down on 1/21 so its been a long wait.

little late but I'll ask my CA at BMW Grapevine. It's a good 3.5 hour drive but they are one of the biggest dealers in the state. Assuming you are still shopping around for a sooner allocation

if it's anything like when mine was "at port" it wasn't really at port the first time but more of a storage overflow area. when it went to in transit last week it was most likely on a train again to the actual port this time. so u should be on the next ship most likely

I am doing PCD delivery. What about you?

I am sure it will be several weeks before I actually get my car.

There has got to be some logic behind when these cars get on a ship - I imagine it to be a matrix comprised of which port the car is going to and date of receiving allocation and date of build.

I hope you find your way onto a boat soon.

By the way, I thank you. I believe you advised me to look at Amplify for a loan - thanks for the advice. Got a great rate before they increased and I'm locked until 11/21 - now that they have lifted the Stop Sale that should be good enough.

Glad it worked out for you! My rate lock is only until 11/9 so trying to see if I can get the loan finalized prior to pickup.

I'm taking delivery at my dealership in Austin so hoping it hops on the next ship to Galveston.

Allocation at Temple BMW. M3Cx aventurine red, carbon buckets, Silverstone interior, exec package, laser lights.
Chrome tools trick puts me at production date of 10/15.

BTW Temple was awesome, pretty much hit up SA late august, texted me with allocation ready beginning of September. I don't think there is any real wait list there.
