Sweet! Are you going to pick it up or have it delivered? I'm in about the same boat as you...Close to pulling the trigger. Only difference in the new car over my build is interior color and no carbon fiber exterior. 2k over MSRP but I'll have it next week. I'll use www.luxuryshippers.com enclosed truck.

Nice glad you finally out of this hell. What would be messed up though if you are released next week from QC

If the plant wasn't shutting down, I'd probably try and wait, but who knows how long it'll be.

Good call out. I found my exact same G83 (except it doesn't have Driving Assistance, but does have Parking Assistance - no big deal) build about 200 miles away. My dealer is going to reach out to them for a trade. I'll only do it if I can keep my current pricing structure. Otherwise, I'll just wait. My expectations are low but it's worth a shot!

I think it’s OK, I came across quite a few cars that were listed at dealers that weren’t on that site.

I really do not believe this is an easy procedure as everyone is making it out to be. These factories are stock full of very automated/robotic and computerized assembly lines. The lines depend on the assembly sequence before it being accomplished in order. If they were to cannibalize parts and sub assemblies from various partially-built cars, it would make it impossible to restart the automated operation.
That being said, I do believe they could take non-installed parts out of the bins at the various stations to install in the recalled and stop-sale cars. Hopefully these bin shortfalls caused by doing this part-grab can be made up during the 2-week stoppage while waiting for wiring harnesses being sought from second source vendors, other than from Ukraine. Thoughts?

A lot of the cars are customer orders, but there are still a lot that are available (many with ADM). I found a more than a few that could be available at MSRP, but a good portion of those were still stuck at port. The trick I used was finding a car and putting the VIN into myGarage to see where it was on the tracker.

I also made sure to submit details when I got them, ie: Customer order or over MSRP, but not everybody does that.

Well at the 4 month mark, 11/5-3/5, I finally hit awaiting carrier assignment; recalls are still open.

Maybe they are trying to clear everything out before the shutdown?
