Has anyone elses production week pushed back a few weeks?

My original build week was Week 40 and now its pushed back to week 48. not sure whats going on, but has anyone else had this issue?

Probably because some of the options you had are pushing it back. I was told Ivory leather interior would delay my build by a month. I went with black interior because of that.

Buckets in the G80 are the #1 reason why people have their build week pushed back. If not that, one of the "individual" classified interior colors and/or exterior colors are another likely cause.

Yup I went from Week 40 to 49 as of last week as well. Only "special" items in my order are the buckets and tanz exterior. Oh well, not a real hurry on my end just sucks delivery will be in the middle of winter.

Not always the case. I added buckets while my car was in 112 status and it bumped up from week 42 to week 40. It went 150 status last week and is scheduled to be completed next week. My car is also Tanzanite and that seems to have had no affect on the build date.

Obviously it doesn't always happen, but Buckets is absolutely the most occurring reason of why G80 builds get pushed back. Also depends on what seat color you choose. Tanzanite exterior is a priority individual (available on the build site) and shouldn't affect build date anyway.

My dealer told me that they pushed me from 42 to 49, but he called and complained to somebody and they supposedly put it back. I have CF buckets on my order, maybe that is what's causing all of these to be pushed back. I guess we will find out what actually happens in about a month.

If they claim they actually moved you back up, you can call BMW Customer Relations and ask them what build week you are. Whatever system they see is the same the dealer does.

It's technically not set in stone until status 150 about a week and a half to two weeks before your build week, then you get an actual build *date*, when it's scheduled to be completed.

However, if you hit status 112 in the next week or so your chances of it actually being week 43 are basically confirmed.
