I saw it as an option, along with the drive recorder. The recorder had 3 options for pricing and duration, the remote start had only 1. I went to eh car and after an idrive reset, the drive recorder appeared. However, haven't managed to get the remote start to work...

Bmw deactivated mine after I got it working. Currently working with head office in Germany to figure out what's going on.

Just bought it as well, shows as a purchased item in the car, but not enabled yet. Interested in what you hear from BMW.

This is in the US as well, BTW. New connected drive store on bmwusa had it listed for 350.

You'll have to go to a dealer. They'll install it and then about 24 hours later you'll get a new call for emergency service to remove it.

It's no longer available for manual trans cars, and BMW is actively trying to remove it from any that were able to purchase and install it. I still have it on mine but there is a persistent feature update pending in my car's menu to deactivate it.

This is correct. Don't go near a stealership. The second you enter the lot it deactivates.

It was a no cost options for the my 21! Tbh I didn’t even know about it till the day I picked up my car but I was surprised with this. I’ve ordered a 2022 Xdrive here in Can and it still shows that it has the remote start. Check with your dealer or check your BMW app. See if it allows you to start from the phone?

Looks like I just got the software update, seems to be many new features including the new active sound which has been discussed by others
