PTI but what is the difference? If RC is a boosting adjuster does it change boost based on the transmission?

Heres another question for those who installed this. Notice any difference between eco and sport + modes (the car modes in the bmw iDrive, not the racechip modes)? Theres some confusion over in jb4 land as to whether the throttle closes/oscillates in sport/dport + mode and people are getting faster times in eco mode. Is there any data or seat time with racechip and different modes for the engine settings on the car?
Also noticed a small amount of power reduction over 5500 rpm in the customer dyno video map7, but he said it was like 100F in the shop which could explain that

I think he is traveling but Ill take my car out in a few and report back later today or tomorrow. Ill say this, currently Ive only ever driven my car in the most aggressive (car) sport modes and map 7 on the race chip and the car is definitely stronger than stock in the same aggressive car modes.

No doubt. I guess the info im curious about is whether its even stronger in eco mode per the jb4 experience

That's impossible to be stronger in Eco mode since BMW mapping on Eco mode is sluggish throttle input, less gas, etc to achieve the low gas consumption.
But, when you have RaceChip on map 7, the new Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ will be stronger.

I am currently 3 weeks out of the office.
So I couldn't test it with my X3MC, but Vic55 should be able to report back.

Sounds good thanks. Looking forward to Vic’s test. The guy that started the whole rigamarole with efficient mode was RK tunes but he was running ethanol mix with different fuel injectors. Maybe its a non issue on the basic maps

Im baaack

So I warmed up the car with M1 or M2 settings, just the oem non aggressive car settings with map 7 and the car was ehhhhh... but faster than the same car setup with map 0.

Then I changed it to my settings: S3, MDM, all Sport Plus except the EDC and left it on map 0 and it was fast- OEM fast. I changed it to Map 7 and life is grand!!!

So Eco mode was bad but less bad with Map 7 but nowhere as good as aggressive settings and Map 7.

Awesome man! Thanks for checking it out! Sounds like race chip is dialed in perfect, maybe theres something not quite right woth the jb4… who knows?

Cant speak for it but in reality its doing the same process--- maybe with more aggressiveness but like I typed, Ive not tried JB. RC is good for me and after multiple drives yesterday I can see the dyno charts dont lie about keeping the tq low pre 3k as it helps in launches.

So far reviews have been great! Im looking forward to slapping this on the car in aug. if its truly as good as i think it will be there wont be a need for a tune tbh

I'm thinking the same thing. RC, CAI and res removal will keep my happy for quite a while. BMW did a great job on this car, and RC filled the desire for a bit extra power.
