30 mins isn't bad. The pictures (which I didn't see on mobile at first, my fault!) don't look all that invasive and something that doesn't seem like much trouble to do before I bring the car in for warranty work.

You need to develop a relationship with your service advisor. I love my service advisor and would do anything for the guy. He would never flag me if he could help it. My first F80 went 3 years without being plugged in at the dealership.

Def can't hurt to be buddies with all of them. Your relationship will mean nothing if you have a major problem though. Hopefully these motors and tranny are bullet proof

This piggy doesn't play a direct role in adjusting exhaust notes but what it does is it creates a more aggressive driving experience (my thoughts) which in turn creates more high rpm grunt. I just love to push the car which leads to more sound as I move up the ranges.

I just finished about 8 runs for datalogging: Map 0, 3, 5, 7 with both normal driving and hard pulls... my own behaviors on 7 caused me to drive it harder and thus create a more aural experience.

But in reality its nothing that a normal car wouldnt display at the same rpms and same gear.

Ive had multiple piggy backs and tunes. Both can be great and both have downsides. One of the downsides ive had with a couple piggy backs was the car response was non linear and it felt very boosted. Ive also experienced a dinan which was pretty smooth and a jb4 beta version which was great but it was beta version on my car (aston with the benzo engine) and it misfired so i removed it. Are the race chip boxes pretty linear or less smooth than stock? How does it affect driveability and shifting? This looks to have the easiest install so far.

It is linear tune, and smooth power delivery because it uses a high speed processor.

Yep its always that guy in the back bay lurking like a dick trying to void a warranty. When almost all R/O's do not require factory review and instead create huge billable hours to BMW NA and revenue for the dealer.

I ran the beta (euro) and now the have the US version--- perfect add for me and the US version "feels" just a bit more aggressive. I think RaceChip confirmed US cars are faster?? I swear no placebo since I was not paid for this advertisement nor am I a licensed attorney

all joking aside-- see what the price is and grab and go... Ive got a while before my break in service so Ill continue to update.
