News from RaceChip Germany.

RaceChip Germany has decided to build a new project car by ordering G80 M3 Competition.
Unfortunately, due to shortage on several parts in BMW factory, the delivery has been delayed without delivery date.

We know that you guys have been anxiously waiting for a simple plug-n-play and reliable tune for this new G8x M3/M4 platform with S58 motor.
Luckily, RaceChip Germany managed to find a local G82 M4 Competition owner whom openly willing to lend the car for product development.
After countless hour in testing and development which has gone smoothly, the G82 M4 Competition managed to gain good amount of hp and tq.

Word from RaceChip engineer “One of the best cars, I have ever driven”.

Here are the before and after dyno chart and 100-200km/h dragy result.

Currently, we are validating the map on US spec G8x M3/M4.
Testing is currently in progress. So far it has been good.
A few more days before we can launch the product.

I am currently driving a car with the Euro version here in the states.... purely anecdotal for those who dont know me and all bullshit for those who do (I kid) LOLOLOL but the car really does pull better thru the gears and the best gains are in the roll (seat of the pants of course). And a 1 sec improvement with the Euro car is a nice advancement.

I also ran the RC on my F90 and moved it (reprogrammed) to my M8 GC Comp and the cars ran and run great gain 2-3 tenths in the quarter and 3-4 mph in the trap speeds (others have posted draggys). I like to call it the "plug and play and walk away mod" as its more basic than what a JB4 can do for those mod junkies who like to play with better fuels and heavy duty hardware mods. But for me it serves a good bang for the buck mod that can be reversible to avoid "visual" detection.

Ha yes sir.... I have to say the initial runs are great. Just the percentage gains over stock hp shows the potency of the S58. The RaceChip on my S63tu's didnt have the same such percentage gains. The car up top really feels like a stock F90 with rolls Ive been running. Even when a short shift occurs, the added tq really assists. This fucking car is fun and I have some nice ones

Low 6's in the 100 to 200 km shows great promise.

can you run your own 0-60mph/0-100kmh with and without map 7 on to give us an idea? Are you running on 93 octane?

I dont have draggy but when Ben comes by we can test--- I have crappy 91 in CA.

Sounds good man, I am eagerly awaiting the results. I didn't know you could run 91 in map 7 and not have any issues. That's pretty convenient.

RC is really a basic plug and play module for those (like Ive said) just want that one and done for a nice uptick in performance.

Yeah map 7 is not reliant on a higher octane fuel. Map 7 is boost related .

Thats awesome. I am new when it comes to tunes and mods. I typically shy away from them. For one, the car already has more power than I need, and two, I don't want to mess something up (or the car breaks and I have voided my warranty). RC seems super quick to get in and out, plus because it is more basic as you say, it is probably safer for the cars designed parameters.

BTW, how is that GTS? I can't tell you how many pathetic AI noobs I've smoked in Gran Turismo with that thing lol.

Yo I've been putting 2 gallons of e85 in my tank and that alone crisps the throttle response up and strengthens the rev range.

Try it out with your car if you're willing and tell us how it feels corn'd and chip'd.

Noob question - where is this installed, OBDII port?

And is there anything that would get flagged on the dealer side if it was brought in for service? I got burned by my dealership pretty bad with my DINANtronics upgrade and I'd love to avoid that scenario again.

This is installed in the engine bay.
Connected to 3 sensors. (Cam, Boost, and Manifold Pressure).

For regular service, they shouldn't care.
But, if you are worry, it is easily reverted to stock by using the bypass plug or remove completely (which is a little more involving).
