The extended hub bolts are beneficial for a few reasons. One of the best is lining up the lug bolts during install. The hub bolt on the spacer keeps the lug hole fully aligned. The hub bolts also reduces the chance of any vibrations since the new spacer set is fully secured. Third, the spacer stays "locked" in place when you remove the wheel.

Got it! Thank you for the photo. Will you PM a price for front/rear spacers (...13mm/13mm and 12mm/12mm)?

Thank you, I understand how the title might be misleading, and to be clear, this was not meant to put down IND, and FC does make a quality product I’m not at all disappointed with the product.

My post was to inform that the 15mm will rub at least in the G80 chasis, I took a shot at asking for an exchange and I simply posted the response so that others could make an educated purchase.

I got the spacers knowing that they are non-returnable as stated on the website, so that was my point in why I posted the original response that I got. So that future buyers know ahead of time that they won’t be able to change them afterwards.

Although the website does have G8X as advertised so the assumption that the product was tested in the G80 chasis could be made, I understand that the platform is so new and not every possible scenario has been tested.

No hard feelings I’m not bashing IND again that was not my intent. I will send the email out to them.

I think going forward it'll be important to mention the tires that are on the vehicle.

It almost feels like you are apologizing to them. Did they ever get you the right size spacer? Nate said they'll take care of you.

We can't blame IND for not doing your own homework. You are pushing your wheels out towards the finder. What do you think is going to happen? When you mod your car outside of what BMW has spec the car with you are running risk!!! BMW OR IND is not to blame for you trying to modify your car from OE specs.

It’s not blame, also if the company backs the product that’s because the R and D has been completed this is true of any reputable vendor. Which IND is so your point is mute. I think we are all smart enough to understand the risk of modifying, but we also choose to do business with reputable vendors because they have taken the time to do the research and development.

Thank you for letting us know.

Do you have an M3 or M4?

And is it only happening in reverse when turning the wheel lock to lock? Or did it occur with passengers in regular driving, or when hitting a big dip riding solo?

And where in the hell did you get 12.5mm spacers???

I have the M4. Yes, it's only happening in reverse when turning the wheel. It hasn't occurred during regular driving or hitting any dips.
Spacers are Turner Motorsport from ECS. They came in 10, 12.5 and 15mm.

Thanks for all the insight. Currently deciding on Front 12mm/Rear 13mm, or Front 10/Rear 13.

if we are talking about G80, the rear doesn't need more than 10 imo, rubbing notwithstanding 15F with 10R would be perfect. The front needs a bigger spacer than the rear, doing the opposite is going to make it look even more unbalanced, IMO.

in that case afaik there haven't been any reports of rubbing with even 15F, it's only G80 with Pzeros that seem to be having a problem.

Bob has rubbing with a G82, with 12.5 mm spacers up front, in the same situation. And he has the PZeros too.

So it seems like the 15mm rears are fine with no rubbing, but the most ideal size for the front for all G8X is still a mystery (if you want no rubbing). May have to go down to 10mm.

It seems like Turner Motorsport or IND are all rubbing with anything bigger than 12.5 mm?

///AVM Are you rubbing in reverse at or near full lock with your burger motorsports 15mm spacers?

Canuck

Yes sir, on driver side at/near full clockwise turn in reverse.

Perhaps also true on passenger side at/near full counterclockwise turn, but I do not recall ever hearing it to date. . . quite possibly because I have not made a full counterclockwise turn in reverse?

VERY minimal and of ZERO concern to me.

No rub appreciated at high speed, passenger load or sharp forward turns.
