825M 20" wheels in the front?

Is there any way to build the M3 with 825M 20" wheels in the front? Not sure BMW can support this for purchase. Anyone looked into this?

No because the front and rear wheels require different widths, and 20" OEM wheels in the proper width aren't available.

Maybe order an extra set of rears and fit them on the fronts for a squared setup but maybe look weird with offsets

Bumping this. Thats the one thing I dont like about the G8x. The front wheels look too small and the tires look nascar meatyish. Id want to bump that up to a 20" wheel real quick. Or use a set of rears up front too.

I was wondering about this as well
it would be 20x10.5 in the front would be a squared setup

Should be same offset ET 20

In theory I think this should work. I'm leaning towards CCBs and would like the added barrel clearance. My concern is about tire rub at 285/30/20 in front. Not sure if fitment is already tight but that diameter is very slightly taller than 275/35/19 and some people with spacers have rubbed.

It looks like the wheel cost is about $960/wheel so not cheap. Someone do this and let us know!

Edit: I guess I missed this thread where it has been done. Awesome!

So I originally ordered 285 for my aftermarket set of wheels on 10" width up front, but switched it to the BMW 275 star PS4S to be safe and go with the fronts designed for the car.

I have 12mm spacers up front with the Pzero tires. There is about 1-2 mm of clearance near the vents in the rear wheel. The rubbing occurs when you abruptly go into reverse and have the wheel locked where that 1-2mm clearance is. If no spacers will be ran, I am very confident they will work based off the info from willtheyfit.com

That being said, the Pzero sidewalls are much fatter than the PS4S so It might be fine with PS4S. I think a drop would provide some clearance as it would raise the contact point in the fender arch as the fender arch tapers outwards(if that makes any sense). My MSS springs ship out next week so I will know more then.
