Decided to start a cutting diet two weeks ago and stuck to it, very happy with the results.

Had a bad day at work today and here I am with a 12 oz steak, a whole box of Mac and cheese, and a shaker of martinis. Comfort food > cut

You're a doc - suck it up buttercup.

We're going to be hitting something close to $330K in renos because my wife wanted a mudroom.

Which necessitated us building another garage so she can change one of the bays of the existing garage into her mudroom. And update both bathrooms and create a third bathroom.

Not complaining though, I'm going to really like having a garage to park in during the winter! No more chipping ice off the windows for this dude...well, at least not in the mornings. When I leave the office I suppose I'll be participating in that ever so fun activity still.

I dunno, I thought the CAD to USD exchange was something like $1 CAD = $0.01 USD, so that's still about $3.3K USD, or approximately the fair market value of your motorcycle after someone finds out it was cared for and maintained by you...

Wait wait wait - that seems extremely low - you are saying you only rode the bike for 750 miles per year? My neighbour has put on 1,400 miles on his bicycle (not motorcycle) in the past two months.

P.S. If you are at 15,000 miles, I think it might be time for another oil change....

It's possible. My current Ducati V4 Panigale has less than 600 miles on the odometer after 2.5 years of ownership (…purchased Dec. 2018 as a 2019).

Well, I realized after riding dirtbikes as a kid that I'd kill myself if I got a motorcycle, so I never did, but I'm still surprised. I just thought there would be a lot more miles on them per year than what you three seem to have done.

I certainly see a bunch of them on the highway every day, so I was assuming something like 5-8K miles a year.

I rode it the most my first three years of ownership then it spent four years in a shed when I was in med school then I didn't write it much when I was a resident, then I got married, then I had kids and it's back in the shed for the last three years. The things a freaking time machine

I don't commute on my bikes, so my miles are primarily canyon and track miles. Given the closures all of 2020 due to COVID plus my professional workload, I didn't ride much at all. The only vehicle that sees a ton of miles is my commuter. My Porsche will be lucky to see 3000 miles in a calendar year (…based on my 16,000 miles over 4.5 years in my recently sold M4).

I kinda miss the white people in commericials. Almost all are gone and are now replaced with black hipster families. I dont watch tv but they have it on at my work LOL. And i pass by it and wonder why these commercials are drastically different. and youtube commercials have weird people now. Not hipsters but people who look like a dude and a chick. Like bro make up ur mind ur not gonna pull any babes or or guys with that look.

Every organization feels inclined to fall in line with the political nonsense of the day. That's why the commercials have changed, there's a gay/transgender person or couple in every show or cartoon now (…yeah, even Voltron!!!) and there's nowhere to escape the news cycle of the day. The notion that one has to verbalize something publicly, be it they are for OR against that particular thing/issue, has taken complete control and consumed all………like an out of control wildfire. Silence is no longer an option; it constitutes complicity now. I confess that I'm annoyed by it all.
