You know i need to check on this. I have Lane Departure Warning and active steering assist. not sure if thats Lane Change Assistance?

UPDATE: yes verified i don't have Lane Change Assistance but do have Lane Departure Warning with active steering. so its true! no Lane Change Assistance on individual cars

I guess either it is not true only as a CYA statement or only apply to certain colors that are not certified - but who knows which ones?!

Yea, I had that same confusion a few weeks back. I finally turned off the departure warning as it just got annoying every time I'd get near a line on any road.

This is my favorite shade of blue. I don't get it though, is it gentian blue or Enzian blue?

Another fellow forum member got the Enzian blue but it looked more Laguna seca blue if anything.

THIS is the exact blue I want

Enzian and gentian are the same color (German and English words for it).

I need to find an LSB car to park next to. I think LSB has more green in it while enzian/gentian definitely has more red tone in it. I wanted LSB which we tried several paths with BMW but no luck. I believe they are reserving the color for another limited edition model.

Really considering Enzian, the more I look at it, thanks for sharing!

karussell - Do you have any more daytime or night time pics under different lighting?

Would love to see this with tint, if you are considering it.

Aren't there two different paint codes for Enzian blue & Gentian blue?

Same here with no luck. You probably have more chance of finding LSB in California than I do in Ohio. I don't get it though, I can't imagine that many people get individual paint such that it would make a future limited edition model less special.

No, same color. W37. Not sure why this seems to be the only color (I'm aware of) that has both English and German names.

All colours have different words, but that's not what I think you meant :P The trick here is that it is named after an alpine flower, which has a different name in English (based on the genus for the plant in latin) and German.

The FR, ES visualiser uses the German name for the colour, for example. PT uses English. Translated JP is "Gentiana blue", but in katakana it is ゲンチアナ・ブルー which is phonetically close to English.

I'm not surprised the Romance languages use the Latin root, but what is really funny is that English (which is actually a Germanic language, in terms of actual liguistics) does not. English is a confusing mess.

There'll be a quiz on Friday.

I have the blue seats and they match SPY very well....kind of clashes with the Gentian blue...The exterior is phenomenal though. Tartufo would have been good...

Yes indeed. What you said. This seems to be the only color I've seen that is commonly referred to in both languages, and more often in the German variant at that. San Marino blue for instance is not really ever referred to in whatever the German equivalent would be. And, what's German for Yas...

I think you're right! I've seen a few people say they like the word "Enzian" better.

Proper noun place names (Luguna Seca, Yas Marina, Le Mans) for race tracks and cities/places (San Marino, Portimao, Toronto, Isle of Man) seem to follow the English (rather than حلبة مرسى ياس blue).

These are BMWs. Therefore, as far as I'm concerned, the Deutsch names for everything are the correct names, and everything else is localized Oddly enough, "black" in the frozen called isn't schwarz like it should be. There are a few other colours that aren't actually in Deutsch. My inner-German finds that a disturbing lack of consistency and correctness.
