Bluetooth vs Wifi connection to car
So what is the difference between the BT and wifi connection with the car? I know the technical difference, but what different functions do each serve? I know there is the option for the wifi hotspot with the car. Do we get a trial version of that with the car for a few months? I don't need it, but I wasn't sure if that's what the wifi connection is.

Android Auto/Carplay will connect via wifi. There is currently a bug with AA where it will not use the cars built in Hotspot as a data connection but it'll get fixed eventually. The wifi is also for the built in wifi Hotspot. There is a 3 month 3gb data trial plan, outside of that it is $25 for unlimited data every month.

You want to use WiFi for AA and CarPlay. It allows CD quality playback. Bluetooth is lower quality. If you want the absolute best quality you can use a USB stick with FLAC audio files. Given the HK system (I have adjusted EQ), I use WiFi connection and call it a day.
