CDV Delete?

I don't like the feel of BMW manuals at all with the CDV and have deleted them in the past. On my E92, removing the valve was fairly simple. On my F87 I had to replace the slave cylinder from an E9x. I'd do it again if necessary. So...3 questions for those with MTs:

1. Does the G8x have a CDV?
2. Is it as bad as previous generations?
3. Is there a delete?

You're in brave new waters.

I'd be willing to bet that it does for sure have one.

On the f87 it was pretty easy to remove the cdv from the slave so I'd have to guess you could get that done fairly simple on G8x as well.

The next question is does the Ultimate Clutch Pedal fit these cars

The UCP is a no go. EAS tried to install my old UCP but it's a different clutch pedal on the G8X.

Did not look at the CDV. I'll have them look at it when I install the SSK. The car is so new that I could not reference the part number

Spoke to Ronald over at Autosolutions. A G8X kit has been created and pricing is released BUT he has only made a handful of units at the moment and apparently the demand isn't huge yet so he's finishing off other projects before running production. Just an FYI

If you check the other post we have a least a dozen people interested. He will only build a limited number of SSK for each run. I text him almost every week lol. As of last week there was no SSK for our G8X for sale. I should get the first one that he builts and will let you know

Very interesting… his email back to me.

Dear, xxxxx

I have built that shifter and have revised it twice by now and yet have not sold any. The development is complete and it has matured in my head enough to start producing it. The shifter will be identical in build to Ultra shifter without arm as seen on our website. And all the customization that apply to the e9x and f8x will be available. it will be priced at $500 plus $49 for the shift arm bushing upgrade.

Currently I am trying to keep my head above water on current production and have not scheduled a run of these shifters. Likely late summer or fall. But you know what they say about best plans.

Besides that I do not know what to add. I a quite excited about that shifter in that i did not think it was feasible and resolving its technical problems may have extended some customizations limits to all my builds . So I am quite eager to produce it. for now it is only a time issue on my end.

Kind regards

Ronald

I already knew about the shifter being built. It is in revision 2. Where does he say that there was no demand? He is just swamped with the demand of his other SSK.

Confirming it does have a cdv and it removes exactly as F80 does. Clamp the hose, pop the line off, use a wood screw until it grabs and pull. Should get a rubber donut then the restrictor. Reinstall line, bleed (I used a vacuum bleeder first to pull the air then pump bled it with somebody else). Top off the fluid and you're done.
