I am on a list to be able to order my AWD M3 when allocations become available.

Hoping to see some of you at a cars and coffee if local sometime later this year.

We should also do some sort of M3 meet up for the Great Lakes area too. Im in WI just over the IL border.

This all assuming pandemic is done or rolling off

Geektechlive Nice. Did you order from International or North Shore in Milwaukee by chance?

Im in Milwaukee, I’ve got a 2018 M3 comp. I deposited on an awd M4 comp at Milwaukee North. Not sure if above poster means mke or chi but Cars and coffee in Milwaukee is every third Sunday of the month at McKinley marina. I haven’t been in a while but will likely be there next time. Is the car in your pic tanzanite? Great color, I’m going to spec my M4 in tanzanite with the black wheels and exec pack.

There are a few cars and coffee meet ups I have gone to in and around Milwaukee. McKinley marina is one and there was one out near black canyon coffee in dousman I went to once as well.
I am on the list at international for AWD. I'm going to ask for an individual color for my order so I may get it too late for this years cars and coffee meet ups but who knows.

The M550 lease I'm in currently is tanzanite. It's a good color but I really want something a bit "louder".
Still deciding but pretty sure will go Voodoo blue. If approved for individual (I heard bmw needs to approve your request)

I'm also going to try to work in PCD as well if my work schedule allows. This will be my first M ever.

The M550i is the other car I was considering. The idea of a softer ride appeals to me, not to mention better incentives and value. My F 80 with the comp pack wheels is very hard even in the so-called comfort mode. Also I have never owned a car with a V-8 so I was close to putting in an order on one. After a lot of going back-and-forth I decided on the new M4 as I think I would just miss the looks and special nature of a true M car.

Don't get me wrong I do enjoy the M550 xdrive. It's fast and smooth and the v8 does sound great. It's a bit too much of a sleeper with its looks. It's a gorgeous car but can be mistaken for a regular old five series until you see it up close. I like bold looks so while I like it I did find it's not really "me".
For me the M3 love goes a bit deeper.
The M3 for me is and always has been on my bucket list. When I was 12 my family lost everything. My mom as a single parent and I were evicted and lived out of our Ford fairmont for almost two years until someone took us in. I remember seeing my first M3 and when we got a place to sleep that wasn't a car I got a poster (really just a full page spread ad from a car magazine) of an M3. I vowed that i would work hard and one day I would "make it" and I would buy my M3.
This is my year. I finally got here.
I'm married, no kids house almost paid off and zero debit other than my M550 lease and mortgage.
This is the year I get my M3.

Sounds like you’ve had your share of tough times in the past but it’s great that you’ve let it motivate you. My first M was a 2015 yas marina M4. I was so excited the first few days I went out to the garage every 30 minutes just to look at it. This generation looks to be a really special car and your hard work and perseverance should be rewarded. Happy for you.

Thanks. Sorry I got all over sharing and all. This M3 is a huge milestone to me.

Yep, Tanzanite. Yas Marina was a bit too loud for me, and I thought it was the best color without going full blown individual.

I've been on the fence on the G80/2 and was also curious which dealer was the better one in the Milwaukee area. I purchased my current M4 in the northern Chicago area.

Good to know about the Cars & Coffee meetups!

I’ve only dealt with Milwaukee north as it’s closer to where I live. My experience has been good , this will be the third car I’ve leased from them .

Call the Genius hotline and speak to a person. they can look up your order with the prod order number and tell you the build week you are slotted into. so far mine has not changed but I know a few people on the forums that have bounced around a bit.

There is a Build week 35 thread at. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1839950

join us in our long wait.

I also started an Individual color order thread to see what everyone on the forums was ordering. My Voodoo blue color was the reason it was pushed back from week 27 to week 35.

Not sure your question about the production number. As far as build week that’s what the sales manager told me when he entered my order. He knows the ordering process and system very well but I can’t say that build week 35 is confirmed . I’ll call genius .

Looks like I’m actually looking at build week 36 per genius. Has your status changed to scheduled for production yet? I saw a poster who is in build week 35 who said his status just changed today from order received to scheduled for production. He said he was originally build week 36 but got switched to 35. He just got his allocation from a broker last week but I suppose it depends on when that allocation was generated? We will have to get together and go for a drive when we finally get our cars. Btw, have you thought about a winter set up yet?

yup mine flipped to scheduled for production last week. Genius states I am still week 35 too.

I am planning on doing PCD and depending on how the weather is on the drive back up I may need to buy All seasons to have PCD put them on then ship the perf tires back.
I want to get some nice rims for summer and stock for winter but I may need to take a year and use all season performance.

This will be my daily driver and while they are not as good as winters or dedicated summers they can buy me some time to invest in the nicer summer Rims

Mine was dispatched from factory and now has two stop sales.
Be prepared. You may have a finished car but they won't deliver until the two stop sales are fixed. In my case it's backup camera and audio module.
No eta to get parts. I'm guessing with global parts shortage it's at least a couple of months.

Wow - a cpl months?! No clue if it has any merit but genius rep told me they were holding off on production until they have the ability to finish the car.
