Exactly the spec I'd go for in a G80 looks amazing congrats.
I have FDG on my M4, you'll love the frozen paint and it draws a lot of attention out on the road.
Are you doing ppf on it?

Freaking stunning. I'm scheduled to take delivery this week also. Our spec is pretty close. You do have carbon ceramic brakes which I didn't opt for. Those calipers look stunning. Congrats on finally getting your car. Long week 5 journey!

I agree! Pics don't do this frozen color justice. It's much more dynamic in person and the whole reason I picked it was because to my eye, it perfectly highlights the side profile lines and those hips (OMG those hips!). That rear quarter angle shot is the money shot IMO

I've been debating over PPF or not and leaning towards the latter. I have not done it anyone of my other cars but then again I have never owned a frozen color until now. I did not know this before taking delivery, but there is already a small section of factory PPF just after the rear doors and in front of the rear wheels to protect those protruding fenders.

You won the tire lottery as well!!!

Thanks! Yours is so close.

It's still early and still bedding in, but my initial impressions of the CCB's on dry roads are amazing initial bite and very consistent pedal feel without being overly aggressive even on the streets with "cold" rotors/pads. It may feel different in the wet but have not had that opportunity to try that yet. I do want to test them out on the road course track to really get the full experience. Need to get past that break in period first though.

I truly do think I will get Michelins as well since I really do think our cars were right next to each since it was an Individual color. Lol I don't want to jinx it.

I love the color on the carbon ceramics which I might change my red calipers to. However, the price was a bit steep for me since I don't plan to consistently track the car. If price was no issue. I would of spec it exactly like yours. Absolutely perfect. Congrats again. Keep us updated on the ppf.

I'm pretty sure I will ppf the front and the gloss blacks around the car.

It's funny, I've just noticed quite a few chips (minor) on that area and the front door. I have 12mm/10mm spacers and the M4 has no factory protection.
Regarding PPF. I just don't think I could live with it, by this I mean the install. Already I've had a very bad experience just with window tints and I'm not willing to go through that with ppf.
More importantly, I want to experience the paint as it's was delivered and that finish is just perfect. In the sun frozen deep grey has an almost brown tint to it.
Full disclosure, when I ordered it I didn't know frozen dark/deep were two separate colours. I had watched several G80 (frozen dark) videos online and fell in love with it. Then a week after ordering I realised my car was frozen deep grey.
During the wait (7 months) for delivery I was anxious about my choice. This was misplaced, on delivery day I was blown away, I love how it looks like frozen black in the shade but changes in the sun.
You 100% correct regarding the body lines on the frozen cars, the contrast is incredible !

One small detail I forgot to indicate to my dealer was to *not* apply the tire shine to the tires. That oily goop spits up on the drive home, and you see everything on this paint. Even dust particles seem to be attracted like a magnet. But when that paint is clean, it's stunning!

Agree on the PPF and that's why I'm reluctant. Even the frozen paint is so smooth to the touch. I've heard that the equivalent Mercedes satin dark grey paint (or whatever it's called) is not as smooth.

Lol. Exactly what my dealer did, I told them not to clean it, I get home and the sides are splattered with tyre shine.
Thankfully a premature first wash took care of it.
You'll enjoy the first wash. I got to know the car doing this and when that paint is clean the finish is beyond any camera lens.
Wish I'd got CCB's, ticked every box apart from those but added R44 splitter, side blades and spacers. IND black roundals are a must so that topped it off, all fitted on delivery day and that's me done.
You'll be looking back at your parked car for a long time 👍😎

I'm surprised you let the dealer detailed your car. I'm deathly afraid of them screwing up the paint. Even the car I recently bought for my son, the gloss black around the windows. Swirl galore. I told them to leave my car as is.

Maintaining my frozen white G80 over the last year has been a very enjoyable experience. I strongly recommend Dr Beasley's for all the matte-specific detailing stuff. Top shelf stuff, and it's been keeping my frozen finish looking new over the last year/10k miles. No PPF.

I was going to do the same until my CA mentioned they know how to handle the frozen paint.
