will definitely take pics. the original date offered was monday, the 15th. didnt work because i see patients on that day. i told my CA it needed to be on a Tuesday and, to my surprise, they had the next day available. now, we have to get all the financing paperwork done and i need to get some insurance on the ride.

good shit!!! i was looking to get a one-way rental car from atlanta to greenville but....damn. it's damn near cheaper to get a one way flight for TWO people. guess i'll just drive my car up...

Thanks, tmilnthorp! I checked with Genius ~9:30 and 4:30 today. As of this afternoon, their system showed the VPC had checked in my car early today but hadn't opened a work order yet. The agent seemed bullish a work order would show as opened by tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday at the latest.

Surely not. Even the devil needs a break. I think the Genius agent's reference to a Saturday/early Monday update was delay between what physically occurs and what's recorded electronically.

Still holding out hope for delivery about a month from now.

No parts being added to mine, but given I have PPF going on before leaving town, I have calendars to coordinate once I’m offered a date (range).

Who do you plan to use? I’m working with Sheldon at Extreme Color Auto Spa in Greenville. They do all the Performance Center cars. I got on their schedule for PPF on Wed after I take delivery Tues 11/16. He said if I get it to them by 3:30-4pm on Tues he can have it ready by Wed night. I’m getting as much done in a day as he said was possible. Full hood, full fenders, mirrors, front bumper, door edge guards, headlights, and rocker panels.

Yep, Extreme Color, c/o Sheldon, drop off immediately after delivery, be ready 24 hours later. I'm doing 'race package': hood, front bumper, mirrors, door edges and rocker panels (same as you, in other words -- sans headlights) plus lower rear bumper (where the gloss black trim catches whatever the rear tires throw).

I started corresponding with them ~2 months ago, when I decided to purchase/finance the car rather than lease it.
