Is Manhattan BMW special?

We ordered a m4 x drive at Manhattan BMW just now and the kept saying the are a cooperate dealer and they play no tricks and implies they can get cars faster.

Is cooperate dealer a thing? Or it's just a dealer that's not owned by a third party and there is not much difference.

(Currently second on WL and estimated 6-8 months delivery. They say they get 1-2 allocations per month)

They are a cooperate dealer for sure However, I dont think they get cars faster.

1) They have a deep wait list for allocations
2) Cars are going to be subject to stop sales and parts shortages, being a corporate dealers doesn't give them first dibs on everything.

did you check other dealers in the area by any chance? i'm from NYC. I ordered an M4 xDrive from Park Ave BMW in norther NJ earlier this week. MSRP pricing and 1k deposit. Week 7 build when I called BMW Genius hotline and I have a production number. They may have another.

most dealerships are corporate these days. We however are family owned. There are pros and cons to both.

just remember, when it comes to allocations, if you dont get a production number right away you dont have a allocation. allocations can vary dealer to dealer month to month. Happy hunting

I actually have contacted a Bloomfield dealer. They had crazy markup like 30K. I then gave up on NJ dealers. As for park avenue, their service center mishandled my car previously and I am a bit like trying to avoid this particular dealer. But I haven't tried their sales, might do that at sometime. Thanks

I purchased an f80 from Manhattan in 2017. My buddy was a salesman at that store they are a factory BMW owned store. And was a really cool buying experience for sure.

I was close to buying a black G80 from them but went with a Dravit one from Competition BMW of Smithtown on Long Island

I use Manhattan for service, they are a legit operation. The volume of cars going through there is insane. I would say they're being pretty honest with you would be my gut feeling from my dealing with them

I think the salesperson was saying "corporate" and not cooperate.

BMW Manhattan is owned by BMW Corporate and seems to conduct themselves differently than others i have worked with in the past. They do crazy volume and may get more allocations as a result. their service department is very good.

I bought my G80 from them. They will sell you a car without the markup and associated games others have described on this forum. Personally though, I found the customer service to be awful. At least they got me a car. I do love the car.
