I only sold my M8 about 2.5 months ago, but I don't regret it. I'll be happy when the G82 is finally ready for PCD, but at least I have something to drive in the meantime.

It was fine, at first, loved the updated interior (coming from an F80), and the power was amazing, but it was kind of boring. It was just too heavy feeling, great as a cruiser, but not nimble at all. Not a lot of fun to drive unless you were blasting off from a light (which I don't suspect will be a problem in the G82, from the stuff I've seen). Looking forward to being in something a tad smaller, but more fun to drive. I think the only thing I'll miss are the soft-close doors.

I just got my wife a new Mercedes GLS and it's amazing how nice soft close doors are. Before getting it I thought it was a useless option but now I'm a believer. Too bad it's not even an option for the G8X

Sure hope things move this week. If not, we are looking at 2 weeks of holiday shutdown.

I'm hoping too. I'm coming up on 7 weeks in QC. I would hope they are trying to get Week 43 and 44s to the port this week.

I’m coming up on week 6 so very similar to you. If I don’t move by the holidays I’m gonna be pissed I’ve already been upset and whenever I ask for answers they can’t tell me. It’s becoming increasingly ridiculous and I’ve been very patient.

Isn't the shutdown weeks 51, 52, and 1?

You’re probably right. I am not sure of the time but either way not good for us considering no new developments. I hope we all at least make it to port by then but if we don’t move this week im sure they will keep us in the factory and not outside.

Yes, you are right. I guess I was just trying to subconsciously be positive.

EDIT - looks like some folks have a Build week 1 on here. So maybe it's just two weeks?

The lack of information makes it worse...If they at least tell us what exactly is happening, we can at least have our expectations leveled.
If they say "we expect to be two months" fine! But say something dammit!

I don't get why the M4's are getting dicked while the G80s have no delays. Doesn't make any sense

It has to be some type of parts supply chain issue thats literally the only thing I can see being possible otherwise there’s no excuse to have a car wait 7 weeks lol

You are absolutely on point. Sitting in the dark as to what is happening is very frustrating. I would hope someone from BMW would follow these forums and let us know what is going on. Wishful thinking.

hahaha yea unfortunately man, this whole situation is absurd. Agree with the reply below, i wish they just let us know whats happening and gave us set dates , I don't mind waiting when I know there's a set date, but when its unknown and it can be either a week or two or it can go on for months thats what frustrates me the most

Assuming you’ve tried to get information from your client advisor as well? personally, I’ve told myself to give it till early Jan for movement otherwise im gonna dip from the order since i can just get a 23 before end of the year if i get my order in early enough…

I'm not sure what else they can say. Many of us have had our CAs tell us it's a parts shortage, mine is waiting on RAM, amplifier, and CID.
