My dealer called me and said I can pick my car up Friday. I am about five weeks late total. Week 44 to 47 and another two weeks extra waiting for parts at port. It is what it is. The pandemic is a pain in the ass.

Posted this in the main QC thread, but putting it here for the record:

I'm skeptical of the following, but perhaps some positive news for the end of the week for those with vehicles still stuck in QC.

Also, this is information from BMW UK, so I'm not sure how applicable it might be for those elsewhere...

The Sales Manager of the dealership from where my week 47 QC delayed G82CX is on order managed to get an update from BMW today. Apparently, the factory have managed to clear the back log of vehicles from September and October, and are now onto the November vehicles. It has been indicated that this "could" mean delivery to the UK week commencing 14th Feb (week 7).

I'll take the estimated delivery with a pinch of salt, but perhaps the end of the tunnel is now approaching.

My car is finally in transit after almost 3 weeks at port. I am now off to the dreaded Baltimore VPC. Any other week 47 M4s moving?

My car flipped this morning also to in transit. Now time to figure out which ship I am on. I am heading to Baltimore as well but notified my CA that I want to the PCD. I waited this long might as well do it. So I think it will head to Charlestown after Baltimore. I wonder if their VPC are clearing the RAMs stops faster than Baltimore.

Is that possible to make that change now? Maybe i should do it too. Baltimore seems like the worst place to go in the country for the RAM fix.

Yes its possible since the PCD is not scheduling anything until it leaves the VPC because of all the stop sales. I just confirmed this morning I am on the Orion Highway heading to Baltimore. I wonder how if I do the PCD will it just get transported over to SC after it clears RAM.

I’m on the same ship, Orion Highway. They told me arrival is scheduled for 2/12.

Day 82 here. All while BMW is telling me that my car is a priority for them. Such bullshit.

Movement at last after sitting in QC for 70 days!

I just heard from the BMW Genius that my build week 47 M4CX has been released to carrier (code 8200 or 182), so should be on its way to the port and then the UK. No stop sales listed either, so fingers crossed.

I'm not sure anything is worth this wait, especially with the way BMW has been handling this.

Any chance the long haul QC cars are being shipped with the missing RAM and amp in the trunk and just need to be installed?

wishful thinking, I know

No idea, but mine that has just left QC after 70 days doesn't show any stop sales, so I'm hopeful that RAM and amp are installed...

Not so lucky here. Mine has had the open RAM and Amp issue since the start of QC back in November.
