It looks like most cars built in the last several weeks have had at least the RAM stop sale, and if they ordered the parking assistance package, the camera retrofit stop sale too.

Since the cars will be repaired at the VPC, I thought it would be useful to create a port specific thread. A data point about a car in NY getting parts is interesting, but may not be applicable to the ones in Galveston.

So...I'll start. My car has both and is on a ship now heading to Galveston. ETA Oct 7th.

Anybody have any info to share?

I've been waiting on Camera retrofit/Stop Sale for my M3CX since First week in August. Work order started on the 6th. No updates from Genius… just waiting it out.

RAM stop sale on G83 expected to arrive in Galveston on 07 Oct

Confirmed today "Released to carrier". Stop/Sale for camera retrofit removed… almost 2 months. Might be able to take delivery by the end of the week.

Happy for you that you're getting your car. 2 months though? Ouch.

Polaris Highway is making progress! Now due in Galveston late 10/7 or early 10/8. Hopefully all cars will be offloaded on Friday. Give 1-3 days for processing, and we might know something next week.

Please share any news you may have regarding stop sales in Galveston here.

Hijacking this thread to ask a question as I haven't seem the official stop sales thread.

Do we know which stop sales are the worst or are they all about equal, or does duration of time your car is stuck at the port with a SS just depends and has no known factors that affect time?

My car (Week 38, fully loaded except ceramics / carbon exterior) breezed through production and was barely in Quality Check (maybe a day?) so figured no stop sales. Just found out that it has one for the Audio Receiver module that will need to be fixed at the port in the U.S.

I know there's also the RAM stop sales and I believe the Camera Retrofit. Just trying to find out how bad the audio receiver one is..

Really not sure. The RAM stop sale affects a lot of models regardless of what options you have. It's "worse" from that perspective, but I haven't seen any comparison with the camera stop sale as to which gets fixed quicker.

So basically, I have no info!

All good! Fingers crossed they're much quicker now and don't take freaking months to get this BS resolved. Really they should have these parts ready to go at the port so they can quickly install them - one week max. My SA said parts are being shipped to the ports for them to be fixed on arrival so hopefully that's the case.

Well if it's like my 21' M3 Comp (which was totalled a little over a week after taking delivery) it will be in Port Hueneme, CA. Then on a carrier to Phoenix.

The RAM is by far the worse. Both are terrible but the RAM is awful. I've had it and have been at the VPC in Oxnard for 6 weeks now. I've only seen one person on these forums have their RAM resolved and that was aford who had to wait 10.5 weeks.

Hard to say. I've been told the average wait for new arrivals will be 6.5 weeks but that was a estimate by a bmw genius.

anyone thats had a stop sale resolved has had it for RAM, at the very least....because every car has a radio while not every car has a camera. so i dont think the outlook is quite as dire as youre projecting. folks are most DEFINITELY getting the RAM chips. regardless, i know its frustrating and im trying to steel myself as i have the same fate, upcoming, when the car arrives in Charleston this weekend.
