Just installed mine today. Are the valves closed when you press the Sound Off button?

It depends how you had it configured at purchase.

That setup bypasses the interior buttons completely. The sound button will only control ASD and pops.

That's what I thought. Let me do a visual of the valves later. I just drove a few miles. Thanks

I'm still waiting on the status of my order. I tried to call CG Precision multiple times on Friday to see if I'm one of the shipments going out tomorrow but got their voicemail each time. No update from X-PH either although I surmise they're waiting on the vendor. I've got the same situation with my carbon side vents coming from Europe.

I drove with the Windows down and the Sound button ON added more burbles. The valves are always opened or closed by the VSC-2 like you said regardless of the ASD ON/OFF.

Are you happy with the sound with the valves fully open?

So far so good. I have not driven much. It's louder for sure.

This is the configuration that I'm leaning towards.

To confirm, this means that when you turn the car on, the valves are already open. If you push the remote button, it then switches it back to auto/OEM (as if the mod wasn't there), correct?

If I were to do the reverse (Default: Auto; Activated: Open) that would mean that whenever I started the car, it would start normal (OEM), but would switch open the valves when I hit the button on the remote?

Correct. For me it makes the most sense. Since installed, I have never used the remote. Only to test that it works.

I just ordered this when I placed my order for the Remus cat back exhaust. I chose Open for the default setting and Closed for the activated setting. My line of thinking was that with the Remus exhaust I would activate the controller to have the valves closed when I need a quieter start up in the early morning or late at night. All other times of the day or after the cold start up, I'll want the valves open. No need for the OEM settings otherwise.

So you'll activate it every morning for the cold start then deactivate it after

If my wife or neighbors complains that it is too loud on cold starts, yes.

If no complaints from the wife or neighbors, then there would be no plans to ever activate it.
