Glad it worked out for you. No question of the improvement in sound and a few more hp throughout the rev range. And you can't beat the cost!
Would've gotten nowhere without you pioneers.

This is beyond confusing. I want the F82 back where all you had to do was put it in Sport +, turn the car off, and pull the two plugs. This is too much work lol.

It's a little work, but it's absolutely worth it. Night and day sound wise in my opinion.

I'm worried about burning my warranty so I'm considering of using bimmerlink to fully open the valve

Any idea if this breaches the warranty or if I'll experience the same "rattle"

I did this before my break I'm service and the shop foreman caught it. We chatted for a second, he asked if it threw a CEL, and we moved on. Shouldn't be an issue what so ever.

When I took it in for 1200 mile service, Tech said he noticed the valves tied off and said it was an excellent idea. Not only the best sound, but a few extra hp throughout the rev range where the valves aren't fully opened--which is 95% of the time. There is no rattle if you tie off the valves. Read the whole thread if you haven't and don't worry about warranty. It's a non-issue.

Just had my exhaust valves permanently open by the muffler shop after they deleted the resonators. Took 10 minutes. Super easy with the car lifted.

Glad you're happy with it. Took me about 30 minutes, as well. Could do it now in 10. Plus, several hours of Youtube to get a look at the correct module and see the diaphragm.

Any chance you could post a video of the sound? I don't think I've ever revved the car when the valves are fully open because of this ridiculous system they're using for the exhaust

I haven't done my break in service yet, so I didn't give it full throttle. I hope this works for you! Use better speaker than phone speaker if you can👍

I'll try to get some clips today as well if I get out. My car is broken in so I can get on it a bit.

I am not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but I had a VSC 2 controller from my F80 and it works on the G80 just fine.

Yep, plug and play. I mounted the controller without a lift so it hangs kind of low.

One thing that I could do on the F80 that didn't seem to work is opening the valves before turning the car fully on. I ended up using zip ties to clean up the mess of wires later on.

When you order it, I see an option to default to "Always Open". Wouldn't that mean they are open at start up all the time?

Hey can you open the valves with the controller and also turn off the exhaust button so they'll stay open with no burbles?

Not sure about that. I'm going to take a drive this evening and find out.
