Engine start - warm up

Does anyone know if the G80/82s pull power during warm up?

I test drove a MT G82 yesterday.. It was a brisk 35deg TX morning and the route we took was not enough time to get the car to full operating temperature. The car felt great, but the power was underwhelming during the drive. I'm wondering if the software pulls timing until the car is at optimal temp. My RCF does this- and I'm wondering if BMW does the same.

Honestly I don’t know (probably I’d guess) but you’re the first person I’ve ever heard refer to this monster as having underwhelming power.

My thoughts exactly. I know this thing is way quicker than my RCF, but it didn't feel like it during the drive. I can only assume it was pulling power due to it being too cold.

I'm not sure how G8x is ( assuming the exact same ), but on E92's & on my F82 you had 6-7 square LED's above the cluster that would light up on a cold start and until it gets down to 2 with warm up , the RPM is limited and you can tell the car doesn't want to send it

RPMs are limited on a cold start and will start to increase as the engine warms up. Don't believe there is a reduction in overall power beyond bringing the redline lower initially.

I tried doing a quick search of the technical training document but didn't find anything.
