Congrats! You will love the car , as far as I understand he likes the car overall but didn’t like the autostart/stop function.
I am still waiting for it to be delivered to the dealer.
Does your status show at dealerships in my garage ?
Yes is does. Status changed on Monday as the car was rolling off the truck.

The My Garage app will show "at the port" in Germany, then "in transit" when it is on a boat, then "at the port again" when in the US and "in transit" when on a truck, before "at dealership" when it arrives.

I am so glad you said this, because it was so weird to me that it went to back to “at the port” when it arrived in Galveston. It’s supposed to be picked up by the carrier today so we’ll see what happens when it does..

How long is it taking from arrival at the port to transport to dealer?

I had a frustrating production experience, similar to many of you. I waited over 2 months for the car to complete production, then it sat for 3 weeks at the port. It finally was placed In Transit on Dec. 19th with my dealer saying the ETA of its arrival in Baltimore is somewhere between Dec. 31st and Jan. 3rd with an ETA of its arrival at my dealer another 7-10 days after its US arrival. Hopefully those dates prove out. I’ll send pics once it’s delivered. Very excited about this 7 Series and the bold design choices of the G70!

You can call the BMW Genius hot line and they’ll tell you what ship the car is on. You can then track the arrival at the port yourself.

I was also delayed in Quality Control. Spoke to Genius and my dealer several times. No one could tell me the issue besides the likely scenario that it was awaiting a part to complete production. Glad that’s behind me.

Placed my order 3 months ago, eagerly waiting for my i7. My production number is 7040929, last communication from the dealership was they think it will be Feb or March for it to be here but I'm not sure thats accurate as its still showing "Order Received" as the status with MyBMW.

Curious about others orders, any latest update on yours? is BMW staying on track with your build?

Config - Carbon Black, Tartufo Merino Leather Interior, Msport.

Your dealership should be able to tell you the production week of your build number. Then add 6-10 weeks for shipping from the factory to the US depending on if you are on the East or West Coast.

If you have a production number, then there almost certainly is a production slot in a production week. These can change but at least you will have a starting point. If your Sales advisor can't tell you, get him to ask a business affairs person, or you can also call the BMW Genius line and they can tell you the production week.

If you're in Salt Lake City, the transport time could be 10 weeks. You'll have a better idea once it gets on a boat as there will be an estimated docking day, and you can add a few weeks past that to get to you, presumably from Port Hueneme.

Picked up car from dealership yesterday. Here’s my timeline (ordered 760 in Black Sapphire with M package and extended tartufo interior):

Oct 1st: Ordered car and received production #
Oct: 28th: Production started
Nov 4th: Started Quality Check
Dec. 2nd: Exited Production and awaiting ship assignment
Dec. 19th: Assigned ship and awaiting departure to Baltimore (I’m DC-area resident)
Jan. 9th: Ship arrived in Baltimore
Jan. 12th: Car arrived at dealership
Jan. 13th: Picked up car from dealership

So far, the car is great. Aggressive exterior and a VERY large car (1 inch longer than a Chevy Tahoe). BMW puts a governor on car that limits the redline to 4,500 RPMs for the first 300 miles so it’s still relatively tame but it’s a very smooth and responsive ride. Definitely turns head. Went to Petsmart this AM and noticed a couple walking around the car as I was returning to it. They were very complementary. Very excited about the purchase!

Those who ordered/bought with Amarone interior, are you still happy with it? Will you order this interior again? Asking because considering getting one with this interior and since I haven’t seen it in person, worried may get bored of it after a while
