Any sub install in the M3/M4 requires disabling the ASD.

not sure if this has been discussed but apple CarPlay audio is garbage. I switched to the native Spotify app and the audio quality was so much better

Yeah that's a known issue, stick with the car's native Spotify app. In Android Auto you have to actually uncheck Spotify to keep it from defaulting to the phone version, not sure if Carplay is similar.

This may have already been discussed, but Apple allow for lossless or even higher bit rate, makes quite an improvement in my opinion.

Not familiar with Spotify, but can you play your Apple playlist on there, or is it just the streaming APP that we are talking about here? Thought It was just a streaming APP.

The aftermarket amp is directly connected to the battery, SWS-8Xi are wired to the OEM woofer connector, and aftermarket amp inputs and outputs are located in the Booster connector.

This is so true. Once I switch to Spotify My Audio quality got way better. It streams from Apple CarPlay.

Have you guys tried using the max bitrate in the stand alone spotify app? Im wondering if the BMW spotify app plays at the highest bit rate and perhaps the normal spotify app is just plays at default bit rate.

I have the phone version of Spotify maxed on bitrate and car still sounds better to me and also more importantly you don't have the weird buffering and stutter you get with the phone app sometimes. Unf the car version does provide access to any of the advanced Spotify settings.

Here's what has worked for me, assuming you have a quality source.

1) Uncheck the Logic 7 box...I have no idea what music this makes sound 'better', but it is horrific IMO.

2) Go into the EQ and identify the offending frequencies. You do this by starting flat and increasing (primarily the middle) frequencies and you should quickly identify the ones you should cut. In other words, the ones that sound the worst boosted are the ones you need to cut.

3) Cut the offending frequencies. Start w/small cuts and increase as necessary.

4) Boost the non-offending frequencies to your taste (if required).

5) Profit

Forgive my ignorance, what is: Logic 7 box? Is it a setting currently in the system? (I don't have my car yet)

One thing I noticed after reading their site is that you have something like 100 days free trial. If you don't like, you send them back for a full refund. And they even pay for shipping back. Pretty good I'd say. Granted most probably wouldn't want to spend the time reinstalling the old back if there is even a smidgens amount of them being better than stock.
