If Mac gets about 200 z06's per MY, i'm in line to receive the first MY. And i'm not getting off the list. Doesn't matter the price or power output.
I asked my Chevy dealer earlier this week... it's going to be 50-100k markup roflmao. Gonna wait for market to crash and pick up a used.

C8s are great cars, the amount of 'car' you can get at sticker price is incredible. Performance, looks, reliability (full warranty) is great and really impressive. The issue for me with corvettes are the fact that they are a sole two seater and I'm often with family or friends and need to have passengers in the car. M3/4 is a jack of all trades, looks good, performance is great, german engineering, and is practical.

With those speaking on the C8 Z06, I feel that unless you have a Chevrolet connection or have had a deposit since the initial C8 came out, you will be waiting for a long long time. This chip shortage doesn't seem is getting any better.

Unless macmulkin wants to kill their credibility and loyalty to their customers, they should be offering MSRP to people already on the list. Or at least honor it to those who got on the list very early. Like me. I got on fall of 2019. I knew i wanted the z06 variant once i saw the stingray.

Maybe from a certain point on, they will not offer MSRP. But from what we were told, it's MSRP.

I know ciocca (kerbeck) has made no promises so i know they're going to jack the price.

This is all because of people who buy these cars to flip them.

If i have to pay 20-30k over, depending on the actual final product next tuesday, i might have to. I want that car.

Don't get me wrong, I love BMWs along with other performance vehicles and those of particular interest.
The C8 is a game changer for Corvette as is the new generation M3/M4s whether the purists living in the past realize it or not.
Agreed.

Owned corvettes since the C5. Had each gen since then.

The C8 is the REAL DEAL. I am probably the most unbiased car person there is. I don't value just one car. If a car is that good, i keep buying them. Hence the corvette. I know when there's flaws, which all corvettes have but the upsides heavily outweigh the downsides.

The C8 z06 will absolutely rock the world come tuesday. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

The M3/M4 are amazing at what they do. They're family cars with power. Different class than the corvette. Always have always will.

They do not come close to corvette performance. Especially z06's and up.
The fact that you I'll have a M3 Comp and a C8 in your driveway is enough for me. Wish I were in your shoes...

And i might or might not keep my C7Z as well

But to be fair, i don't have it made. I don't even own a garage. All my cars get parked outside behind my house. Which forces me to treat my cars as cars and not christmas ornaments where i take it out once a year like most corvette owners

Pretty sure they're not going to blow up their reputation just because they see an opportunity to become instant millionaires by marking up each z06 they sell by 30-50k.

I will be getting mine at MSRP. And the C8Z will absolutely look better than the C7Z. It'll finally look like a supercar.
If you order and are OK with waiting, you can get MSRP from a number of Dealers. I was referring to buying one ordered on spec by most dealers. MacMulkin and Kerbeck were both quoting early '23 to a friend of mine, but at MSRP. Taste is taste. I'll take the C7 over the C8--Stingray or Z, anytime.

This is backwards, it is all because of the people that don't flip them. Flipping puts more supply into the market so it should actually drive the price down assuming that supply is available (which it isn't).

Would love to see all of the flippers get handed their asses, but that is highly unlikely in this market. Even better would be to see a system like Ferrari had on the F50 where owners had to lease the cars for the first three years so they couldn't get rid of them. Just make it a one year lease at .9% interest or an option for a one year single payment lease for 0%. That would discourage people pretty quickly.

It has been on record that buyers have ordered 6 ot 7 stingrays. A lot of them posted it on the corvette forum. They all turned that into profit.

That is why i believe, and because of COVID too and the parts shortage, why used C8's, 2/3LT trims are going for 105-110k USED.

Flippers are the reason why dealers are doing up the cars. Trust me. They already said this is the reason why.

Of course i'm ok with waiting, i'm doing it now with the M3 lol. The only difference is that people are getting their M3's and i'm not, that's why my patience has already worn thin.

But i put my deposit in fall of 2019. I don't expect to see that car in my driveway, barring no other hiccups with outrageous starting prices or shortages etc, i should see it winter 2022/spring 2023 as a 2023MY.

I have a C7Z. Incredible car. The best car i ever owned.

The C8 is lightyears ahead.

I have a 2021 C8 sitting in my garage and waiting for my M4 Competition Xdrive to hit the Galveston port in about 3 weeks. I do have the garage space. I paid over msrp for my C8 as they are currently in short supply and in demand as are the M3/M4 Xdrives.

I wanted the C8 stingray before i considered the M3C but they told me 12-18 months to get. At that time i have the C8Z so no sense in getting 2 C8's at the same time.

C8 stingray is awesome however since yesterdays reveal, the interest in a stingray has fallen dramatically. Great car. But the z06 just hits differently. The C8Z is the car EVERYONE is after now.

The car is incredible.

I failed to mention that I also have the C8Z51 and the only way I got the car was from a flipper. The car had 1,200 miles on it when I got it. I'm not patient enough to wait a year or two for a car that I want now, hence I paid many thousands of $ over msrp. When available I might go for the Z06 from a flipper since I am an impatient guy.

I wouldn't have mind paying couple grand over MSRP to get a C8 immediately. The issue with that was, those that were canceled orders, were specs i didn't want. I saw a red C8 with silver wheels, body colored boomerang for 8 grand over. The 8 grand wasn't that bad, the spec was.

And while i didn't special order my C7Z when i got it, i was lucky to get the spec i wanted that was sitting on the lot. If there was a C8 stingray, that was available to drive off the lot the same day in a similar spec, i would have done that and i wouldn't have never got the M3 and wouldn't even be posting here.

But i looked into these things too late and it cost me.

But it's a good thing i did it right with the C8Z. Got on the waiting list early, hopefully getting a first MY 2023. Already inquiring about aftermarket companies doing exhausts for that car. It'll be my ferrari z06 lol
