What is what they said. The only conflicting thing is whether over the air ECU updates can over write the unlock. Some people said it did for them and others said it can't.

I’ve heard there is a way to turn off the OTA updates on some models. I wonder if that is possible for all models.

Yes we can, but since we are not "BM3" devs, we can't add this option to this flasher, so flashing is possible with use of our own femto obd flasher currently.

OTA update feature is not available for Supra.

Over the air software updates DID erase the tune on my 2020 BMW M8.
The car immediately threw a CEL since my downpipes were not stock.

Of course over the air updates are optional in that one is not required to press the ok button. In other words, the owner/driver of the vehicle is not required to implement the updates.

Yes its even say that it can overwrite a tune in the Idrive menu i guess it's depends on whats in the update.
But of course you can choose to not download it and your fine.
