I don't understand it either lol.

I used a brush, a mitt, and a microfiber towel.
Weird. It is a pain but I am able to get my hands in there to clean the barrels somewhat. It's sucks though.
Do you have any pictures of your wheels? I would appreciate that.
Not a recent clean up close pic. Next time I wash it. I'll see how they look and post one.

Difficult to clean, yes. But worth it. I spent an hour cleaning my wheels today. First time I did a thorough job in a while. The 826 wheels are gorgeous when clean.

Compared to my M2C's wheels, your wheels look easy.

Buy Sonax wheel cleaner (made in Germany) if you like traditional washing. Best cleaner I've ever used.

If you like ONR try out their new power clean,
It's rinse-less washing and works like a charm, but you will need to spend 10 minute per wheel.

These wheels are a labor of love for sure. They're easily a 30 minute investment. Today I "slacked off" and used the garden hose instead of taking 5 more minutes to setup the pressure washer. Not sure that was wise. Here's a photo of my setup:

Separate bucket only for wheels
Long brush
Tire brush
Lamb mit
Brake buster in the pump sprayer
Ceramic waterless for the wheel arch and rocker overspray clean up.

They came out "ok" by my standards.

Maybe it's just the angle of the picture, but your suspension looks awfully high... you sure you don't still have the shipping blocks in there?

Wow, I'm very impressed! They look super clean!

I guess I just sucked at cleaning wheels lol.

Need to practice more.

Appreciate the post.

Here is a quick video using Sonax wheel cleaner plus which I just tried out. I must say it made the wheel cleaning a breeze!

How to clean this properly?

Thanks in advance.
Cleaning the rims is a completely separate task.
Oil change
New tires
Clean rims
Pull transmission

Have you used that on CCB's? I've read that typical wheel cleaners can be bad for CCB's because they can be absorbed the rotor and can damage them. So far for my own CCB's (first time owning a car with them), I've just been using microfiber cloths and ONR, but I'd love a quicker solution.

Well done. Very clean. When I washed mine, it always had sticky residue on the spokes.

I haven't used a dedicated wheel cleaner, yet, either. Ive just been using the car wash soap, which admittedly is Gyeon Bathe, with an Microfiber madness incredibrush. But I find the brush doesn't get in between the rotors and the wheel. So, I need to find a different solution.

I am sweating having to clean the 826,s. I had the 666 rims on my 2016 zcp. They looked great but a pain to clean. I was hoping the inner part of the 826 being darker would help show less dust/dirt. I still have time to change my mind as my allocation hasnt been granted yet. I will look through the rest of this thread later but wondering if anyone knows the 825’s are that much easier to clean

Oh man, I hadn't heard of the incredibrush. Great find! Looks like they have a flatter one: https://www.carpro-us.com/wheels-tri...edibrush-flat/

Still not sure if that'll get between the rotors but I'm going to get it and give it a shot.

Yeah, I have the flat one, and there isnt room between the rotors, (CCBs) and the wheel. Thats the one I was referring to. You need something even thinner than that.

Usually once a week or once every 2 weeks during good weather (daily driver). During the winter, as needed.

I spray an even light coat of WD40 onto the blue paper towel and go through the whole wheel; now, I'm even including the barrel. In the process, I pay close attention to the parts that were missed by the car wash, the corners, and hard to reach areas like the part behind the spoke and the barrel. I also clean the caliper with it while paying attention not to touch the rotor with WD40.

This prevents the brake dust from sticking to the wheel in between washes, removes water spots, and also keeps the calipers looking good.

Now I've added a new step, which is using a wash-mitten just for the wheels to get to the hard to reach areas of the inner barrel using clay soap during the carwash phase.

I also start with the wheels, then the car from top to bottom divided in 3 areas, then I go back to detailing the wheels as explained above (after drying the car).

Preferable environment: shade or sun setting, mild to cold temperatures, and NOT in windy or freezing conditions.

My car is not here yet but I purchased DFC ceramic brake pads for the front and Centric for the rear. I've used ceramic brake pads on all of cars and my wheels stay really clean. I will say if you are tracking your car and you are a complete hooligan, they may not be for you. I do drive spiritly and honestly don't see that much of a difference in stock pads.
This is based on my personal driving habits and no I'm no professional and haven't measured stopping distance so you professional forum guys don't get your panties in a bunch.:

Normally I do I have a nice flat long microfiber finger brush for this. In this test I wanted to see how much came off with a simple method.
