Sitting in them for 5 minutes in a showroom is significantly different from living with them day to day or comfort on an 3 hour trip.

The real answer here is if you are under 30 and have a girlfriend instead of a wife then get them. If you are over 35 with a wife you would be the rare exception to get them unless she is not in the car often. If you use the car for business at all with customers forget about it. Some will think they look cool, but those are not the people that will make decisions on your deals..
The solution for wives is simple: just get them an X3M so you can bear leaving the G80/82 at home when u need to ride with her.

Kind of obvious if you are using the car for business purposes, clients etc. carbon bucket sport seats are probably not ideal.

For driving they feel and look awesome.

I tried to buy my wife an X5M, but she wanted the X7. Happy wife, happy life.

I was pretty worried about selecting the seats based on the thread on the allocation wait times thread that digressed into an CF seat rampage. But this thread has restored faith in my decision. At 5'10 and 170lbs it sounds like they're perfect for me.

I'd love to sit in the seats before my order is assigned an allocation/production number, but that may not be possible given my travel schedule.

For me it was simple, have I ever sat in or owned a vehicle with racing seats and could tolerate the ride, the answer for me was yes on both accounts. To get bucket seats that are actually comfortable compared to most aftermarket options was a no brained for me. To me the only reason someone should not get these seats is your body type doesn’t fit well in the seat or you really want ventilated seats.

so having some seat time in these I can say they're absolutely amazing. I was in a bad accident years ago and have some lower back issues randomly due to that. These seats feel very supportive and so far I've had no complaints with their comfort. Getting out is still a challenge but otherwise that's really it. My 5'1 (105lb) wife loves them too and is glad I got them. She can get out pretty easily ironically without messing up the side bolster.

So I will have a one year newer car with xDrive and more comfortable seats for $2k less money. Looks like a win win for me. Before selling I removed the spacers and the PSI midpipe so that I can use it on the new one.

So for a daily, you do prefer the standard m4 seats? Is the integrity of the spirited driver still there in the seats?
