Thanks for the insight. I'll check later today with Genius to see if there's any updates on the system.

I am fairly confident it's already at the port but just that the systems have not updated.
Do you know how long it takes from the tune it's on a ship to the time it's here at the port? 2-3 weeks?

Looks like you are in Cali, which means it will take about a month for the ship to arrive at Port Hueneme from Bremerhaven. All depends on the total number of stops the specific vessel has in its itinerary though.

I don't think there is a single ship that goes 100% direct from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme.

The one my car is on has 3 stops ahead of its arrival to California.

For me it's exactly 36 hours, as I am in the UK and it's a very short crossing.

UK bound cars go from Cuxhaven rather than Bremerhaven, and it's a direct journey to Southampton port.

In your case I imagine it will be 10/12 days probably

EDIT: I see you are on the west coast... you can add another week and a half to that then I think

According to my SA, the ship left the bremerhaven port october 11/12 and said ETA to NJ october 22.

So perhaps another 10-12 days to the west coast from there?

As others have noted, about a month for you. Refer to the “ordering/tracking” sticky thread in this section. Part way through that thread you’ll see links to carriers’ websites, where you can find schedules between Bremerhaven and Port Hueneme (California). Voyage times vary by vessel, but at least you can see which vessels are making that journey and get some expectation of arrival date, once Genius agent or your CA advises you of your car’s exact vessel.

Ok, I'm also awaiting carrier assignment now. Unfortunately my car is showing the 0065480300 RAM stop sale now so no upside from spending an extra 4 days in QC.

Anyone know if current cars hitting US ports are having the RAM issue resolved quickly or taking a while? (I think that's the only point in the process where I've seen the RAM stuff addressed)

Same stop sale but at the German port for 4 weeks now. I was told they are planning to have the RAM installed at Bremerhaven before shipping but not sure if it's true

I have a RAM stop sale and my car left bremerhaven this past week.

I figure it'll get resolved once it hits the states next week or so.

Just hit port. Both the UK and other tool show the need for the RAM “enhancement,” but neither my CA or the genius show a stop sale. Confused…

Genius confirmed car arrived at port of Cuxhaven today, status 193. Was dispatched on Monday 10/11 - so took 4 days to get here.

Now just a matter of getting loaded on to a ship

So far no stop sales....

So here is my optimistic theory on this as my car shows the same thing. My theory is that they have more availability of the RAM at the VPC and so they are noting that an enhancement is required. It it's not stopping delivery or requiring a recall. The long wait at the factory could have been a controlled and paced release to account for this work at the VPC and not to clog up destination ports. :

Update on my G80 xDrive build:
9/24 Production Begins
9/28 Genius told me my finished production date is 10/5
9/30 EXTERIOR BODY ASSEMBLY BEGINS
10/1 In the Paint Booth
10/05 AM: Dispatched from Factory overnight.
10/11 AM: At the Port
10/15 AM: In transit

My dealership is in Baltimore; thus it’s getting shipped to Port of Baltimore. Speculating at this point that it’s on the Olympian Highway due in Baltimore on 10/25. I still have the RAM “enhancement” open.

Is your CA or the genius showing stop sale for you? I suspect Merlin is on to something, that VPC has parts for the RAM issue. My guess, what happens to your car will be exactly what happens to ours

My CA told me about the RAM issue a couple of days ago but I was already aware of it from forum member Alex's site (https://bmw-recall-tool.netlify.app).

Exact same thing happened with me (my car). Give it a day or so, and Genius and your CA will see what you're seeing via the UK tool.

We're shipmates, then!

tmilnthorp's car and mine are being offloaded at Charleston for PCD (and yes, both cars have the RAM 'enhancement' open).
