It won't be going to Baltimore. It goes from Southampton to Charleston then straight to Port Hueneme.

Looks like I have the RAM stop sale and main bearing shell recall. Still “At Port”… I will not pay $90k for a car that needs an engine rebuild or replacement before I even drive it.

Stuck at the German port for over 4 weeks and finally got some updates from BMW Canada today:

* RAM fitting at Bremerhaven due to long wait list at NA ports
* They put my car as a priority since my order was placed in June, week 31 pushed to week 37 production
* Given expected delivery late November to early December

Sigh***

Per the tool, the RAM issue is still “open” for my car. Will need to call a Genius on Monday to see if the main bearing sleeve issue is still affecting my car. Apparently the main bearing sleeve issue only ended up affecting a minority of the vehicles that were initially flagged.

Jim - Items to check when you pick up your car based on a couple of minor quirks on my wife’s G83: XM does not work (probably RAM related), M5 manual in the glove compartment and no entertainment/nav/radio manual. Everything else is perfect.

Following your car as mine seems to be a week or so behind. It's docking in California in two days will need the RAM issue resolved. Delivered to BMW Seattle also. Didn't get any extra M performance parts though.

They (BMW Genius) have no ETA on RAM. The parts will get there when it gets there is all they could say. I hope they do the M Perf parts while waiting for the RAM parts so there's no delay after that.

My car has been at the Galveston VPC since Nov 6. Currently waiting on the RAM fix, and likely the bearing recall fix as well… doubt I’ll be getting my car this year…

I feel like it'll be any day now for you too. You'll likely still end up getting it sooner than me since mine has to come up to Seattle.

Congrats I went through all the VINs on our dealers website last night and what I assume was yours was "open" and is now "closed". Mine is still "open" but I have high expectations given yours was turned around so quickly. I might have one of the fastest turnarounds around. Ordered my car August 12 or so.

It is looking very promising. The cars without any enhancement scheduled, from when I last checked, had very recent production dates. Their recency is also apparent in their VIN numbers relative to the rest.
