G83 allocation to delivery timeline

It took ten weeks (allocation thru dealer delivery) for my wife’s G83 to be delivered. Low option car (BSM. standard black interior, shadowline laser headlights, carbon interior trim, neck warmer, black calipers & 826 wheels).

Few tidbits along the way:

- Car was ordered when the dealer allocation was received in mid August
- Build week estimate changed twice before production started (extended one week and then reverted to the original build week estimate)
- After production was completed, it took one week for the vehicle to transition from the plant to boarding a ship at Bremerhaven
- A RAM stop was placed on the vehicle just before it boarded a ship at Bremerhaven
- Vehicle was at the Galveston VPC for two weeks awaiting the RAM install

I hope this data helps others as they estimate their vehicle order timeline

We were lucky. G83 delivery was fast compared to many other orders.

10 wks is a good number even in 'normal' times. congrats, man!

Wow, that's superfast compared to what most members here are experiencing.
I think BMW might've put priority on initial batch of G83s since they were launched this year.
Anyways, enjoy that beauty!!
