Stop-sale / delay due to camera issue

My m3 comp awaited almost a month for cameras! Now the kafas camera is faulty and overheats…

I hope you wait just 3 weeks...mine was ~45 days. But that was at Baltimore, which anecdotally seems to have had longer waits, and it hopefully seems like things are getting better overall: saw in another thread that the park assist package might be back in the configurator in some world areas, maybe indicates they're getting supply of that part under control.

And just like that (I've been posting in the Week 27 thread) there's been some movement in Baltimore - I've got my ride as of last night and others have theirs on the way to the dealer. Hopefully that's good news for anyone stuck in Baltimore missing a camera like I was (and who is from a week other than 27 who isn't already following that thread).

Hello, my car was ordered incorrectly and is now at the dealer. I am not purchasing the car. It is at ferman bmw in palm harbor florida if any one is looking for a car now. Its a 2022 spa yellow blue sport interior. All options minus laser lights , i ordered black wheels , it has two tone, no wireless charging or hotspot.

Ask for mario or alan

Was it only the wheel color that wasn't what you ordered?

he/she dropped the ball on the laser lights and wheels. but hotspot and wireless charging werent options on the '22, i dont believe...

I think I am half lucky - I confirmed my spec using the 2021 sheet and when the 2022 orders opened up, the dealer manager called me to "walk through all the options" which I thought was silly, but turns out it's what caught the laser light separation out of the executive package. What it *didn't* catch was the newly available tartufo leather, but now that I have my car, I'm happy with the black - especially with shadowline lights and dark wheels and the competition's blacked out logos, the car looks very coherent with the black interior.

That's correct. Those options were dropped for '22 but agree - the SA missed the boat on the laser lights. Wheels, you could buy / trade with someone I'm sure, but I'd also be pissed if they missed the laser lights.

Also part of the issue , not communicated to me before the order was turned into a 2022.

This isnt the first time I heard this. You absolutely have to do your research. I saw a guy, today, complaining about the fact that his car came with $8,000 Gold calipers, and he wanted them a different color, or something.

Collect my car on Saturday

Ordered April 17th
Manufactured June 30th
Delivered to UK VPC 15th July
Delivered to Dealer 11th October

This is due to the camera issue/chip shortage

Pictured straight off the transporter it looks like its been parked up for 3 months , but it will be great I'm sure .

My dealer did lend me a G82 for a long weekend during the delay and I got a really good deal when i ordered but have to say I was getting close to cancelling a couple of times

I found BMW-Genius is useless, they have no insight than what we see or what we from dealer. They don’t have any capabilities of data mining or building analytical pattern to satisfy customers. I don’t know why they are called Genius, I never found anything better than a standard L1 support system.
I requested multiple times that they should be giving feedback to BMW for empowering them with more data or better communication channel with VPC else this system is a wastage of time & resource.

ordered my car on aug 18, just got to the port in LA on nov 14. stop sale placed for the microchips. salesman said it could take until the 20th of nov but hes unsure. any thoughts?
