2022 M3X 13mm spacers all around

Installed today. No rub forward or back or driving. Seems ok.

BMS 13mm spacers all around

Update in a post below, the 13mm spacers do in fact rub upon backing up.

I'm getting 15mm up front and 12.5 in the rear later this morning. I also have P-Zeros. I'll report back here on how figment is as well. I'm most concerned about full lock turns in reverse. I need to do these to position my car in the right spot before I pull in my garage, so if I do get any rub I'll be able to tell immediately.

Did I read this correctly? With G80 you have to get wider spacers upfront rather than in the back?

This is what I bought: 15mm f / 12mm r, per IND's spacer thread. Some folks run the same spacer all around.

Yup, this is the set up that lots of folks on here are running and it looks and works great.

Update, unfortunately the front 13mm spacers do in fact rub on the fins in the inner fender upon backing up. That is the only time I have experienced the rubbing.

I ordered up some 10mm to see if that resolves the issue.

it is definitely going to rub there is no question, you are likely going to snap off the plastic fins in the front drivers side wheel well with 15mm and pzeros. multiple people have done this already.

Agreed, 15mm will 100% rub, maybe even going forward turning.
Now seeing my 13mm's rub.

Yes this will happen with Pirellis only as I have had two G80's; one with Michelins and one with Pirellis and of course dropped. The only rub is via the Pirellis in full reverse lock. Now if you review where the rubbing is, its an immaterial piece of stupid plastic that barely touches so my tech did a mini cut and voila nada tostada.

Its not like anyone will ever see it, notice it, or miss it. (the piece that was slightly cut)

No rubbing here:

What are these fins you speak of? I just put 15mm on the front with P-Zeros and reverse seems fine. I did not go to complete lock though. So now I'm worried to even attempt it.

im really not sure, it doesn't look like they would be strictly necessary but then i would also assume BMW put them there for some reason.

i have 13mm with pzeros and it still rubs just not on the tabs, it rubs against the protruding hump part.

you really cant check it while stationary because the rubbing only occurs due to weight transfer that is happening while in motion.

We have duplicated the rubbing and located the environment several times, Im telling you have nothing to worry about except for ego when backing up and others hearing it

Adding Ben as he has pictures of what rubs and its not the bubble as I have mistakenly thought in the past:

I don't have pictures unfortunately.

That ribs are made to reinforce the flimsy fender liner.
Cutting 2 ribs from the outer side won't affect it.

Next time I do the mod, I will take a picture and share it.

yeah you guys are right i just looked at mine closely and it is fins where it hits and not the bubble, one of mine is already cracked and that is with 13mm spacers. I agree that it looks like cutting out the 2 outer fins is the way to go and it doesn't look like it will have any other impact on anything.

I just ordered another set of Bimecc 12mm spacers for the front. Curious to see if the extra millimeter compared to 13s will make a difference. I'll let everyone know what happens. Should have them in a few days.

Hmm, i thought it was 12.5mm front and 15mm rear, with a possibility of going down to 10mm depending on drop and tires.

Backed out of my driveway today, even on 10mm's up front with the P0's and stock ride height I have rub. it's slight, but it's there. Damn annoying.

r33_RGSport can you post some pictures of the 2 ribs/fins that need to be cut? I'm installing my spacers next week and would like to show the shop. Thx!!
