Dinan usually delivers and their warranty is excellent from past experiences. Now i do not know how the company is these days since they got bought out but if anyone can chime in please post. I like the price of this intake as well versus the others over 2k

The carbon itself in terms of longevity/wear would be the same between both gloss and matte. Each variant has their positives and negatives though beyond just personal taste. Gloss is easier to clean but also shows dirt more. Scratches/blemishes are also easier seen on gloss. Matte on the other hand hides scratches and other marring much better but is more susceptible to showing smudges (oils, fingerprints, etc.)

Its in the pipeline along with a slew of other items. The first half of this year should be pretty busy for us in general across a lot of different platforms if the current timelines are actually kept (no small feat over the last couple years). Patience is all I can say.

Irrelevant imo, i wouldn't expect much from any intake, its just for looks and sound.

Agreed.
Don't expect bolt on parts on most modern cars to give gains except a downpipe. Especially without a tune.

Yes. Besides our in house emissions testing to satisfy federal requirements all emissions related products are also submitted to CARB. However, stock intakes that incorporate a charcoal filter (like this one) do not have an approved CARB test to measure before and after effects with it removed (unless something has changed very recently). So while submitted, they don't move very far within CARB. This affects a lot of BMW intakes from the F chassis to present unfortunately. In these affected applications we line the lid/box with hydrocarbon paper to mimic what the charcoal filters function was as a good faith effort to the emissions gods. This tactic is used in some OEM domestic applications instead of a charcoal filter so we feel its a reasonable alternative. We continue to work with CARB/SEMA/BASF as well as a few other acronym entities in order to come to a positive resolution that everyone can accept (approved testing) but those conversations are going on nearly a decade at this point so its a very slow burn to say the least.

Nope. As a few have noted, gains on the intake are minimal on a non-tuned vehicle and fall within a run to run dyno variance. The intake does allow more flow so the turbo has to work less to achieve the same power (improved efficiency). With a proper flash tune that can control additional paramaters and take advantage of this, it means that a car with the intake can potentially achieve higher power numbers then one without. At the end of the day though, its best to think of any intake as a looks/sound mod as even when making additional power we are talking about a relatively tiny number in relation to even the stock ~500 WHP.

Designed, tested and assembled here in Alabama. The manufactured parts come both from domestic sources as well from overseas (Europe/Asia). The carbon itself is from Asia which is likely what this question was directed at. We have used/tried domestic carbon suppliers in the past as well as numerous Asian suppliers and have seen a very wide range of quality and throughput from both. At the end of the day it comes down to who can consistently produce quality parts at volumes that can support our needs. We have vetted our current carbon suppliers over many years at this point and they are the best we have had to date (IMO).

We do not ship internationally from the factory unfortunately but you can order through your local Dinan importer. For NSW that would be German Performance Garage in Sydney (+61 2967 9290). Alternatively you could also order through any number of online etailers that carry the line and ship internationally.
