It will be interesting to see if these end up on the market at MSRP given the current state of interest rates and recession fears. I hated calling dealers for my M3CX, but maybe I'll have to start that up again. Ugh.

Would really like to pick one of these up if the msrp isn’t crazy. Granted doesn’t seem like they will be available to get. To bad this one would of pulled me back to a bmw.

Disappointing looks, and I’m not surprised BMW did nothing but add CSL bits. D

Driving dynamics and if it’s a huge departure from the normal G80 will be key here. The M5 CS was heralded as one of the best recent BMW’s in many driving aspects, if BMW can manage the same for the G80 then I might have reason to dump mine.

Surprised that the rear spoiler seems like a standard carbon one. Figured the CS version would be more aggressive. Anyone seeing that, or am I crazy?

There is a problem with the console mounted lever between the seats...Seriously M, please give this car an optional MT. One last statement about BMW and M values. After this, I know there is no choice.

What's really interesting to me is how this lines up with the supposed LCI in 24.. Special edition or not, imagine dropping 130k+ on this thing just to have the competition model look vastly and maybe better looking than the CS.. I think extending production of the car past 2025 is a mistake

I'd like to see that hood on Portimao Blue or some other blues... with just the carbon accents - I think it would look dope and I would consider adding that to my 22 I plan to keep.

Not really a valid argument, as you could easily spec a G8x over $100k. And it still wouldn’t be a CS.

Talk to anyone that has driven both a 2018 M3CS and a M3 comp. (I have) . The driving dynamics are significant. It's not just the extra juice and a few cosmetic parts.

Chassis, suspension, and differential tuning were all CS specific. M performance exhaust, light weight wheels specific to the CS. Carbon weave hood, special interior bits. They all added up to a superior track oriented M3.

I'd be stunned if the CS is 220lbs lighter than an M4 Comp X-Drive. The M5 CS was only 70KG lighter than an M5 Comp and they had bucket seats in the back of that car. And the starting point was a heavier car in the first place (i.e. an M5 is heavier than an M3). It will definitely be lighter and have its own suspension tune and with X-Drive will be quicker to 60 than an M4 CSL but I think a weight loss of 220lbs is very unlikely.
