JDM style wheels on Euro cars look so cheap & nasty.
Oh & I prefer the oem grill or even better still the csl style.

Looks worse. Like a giant bandaid across the front. If you have to do this to a car of this cost just to make it palatable then don't buy it. Send BMW the message that if they want to pander to the Chinese market so badly then the rest of us are out. But of course that's asking to much. Guys are buying it and offering up every justification in the book from "it's not bad in person" to "it's growing on me".

Nasty. The grille works as it came from factory. This grille bashing has gotten stale and old.

It's strange to me people get so bent out of shape at the thought of changing the bumper. No one seems to be bothered at all by a 6-8k exhaust to change the sound. You can dump 10% of the cars value there, but a visual change is a waste of money?

FWIW, I think those 6-8k exhausts are a waste of money too.

Well now that we've all seen the XM kidneys, those G8X ones look like a walk in the park...

This is such a shame bmw missed the mark so far and it shows. Everything about the G80 is cool in sedan form, essentially the grille runs the presentation of the car as its a big step in the wrong direction. I don't think any grill would fix it but the work that has to go into it to find something tasteful speaks volumes...

I prefer the original grill. If potential customers don't like them they should buy an another car I think.

OP this this concept grille is hideous. I don’t know why any company would think this would appease the small percentage of leftover haters. It won’t. The only thing that will satisfy them is to slap the M5 or M3’s front end on it. These heaters want the exact same grille they’ve had since the mid-90s. Anything short of that is designed by a group of morons and our friend jpdChicago will take care of that in the future. |

It is not salvageable without getting rid of 1) hood dimple 2) narrowing the grilles or installing a frame on them that softens them. I think it is very hard to do with current car and it is a write off. THey will have a facelift in few years, I think they will correct it somewhat. Then current owners will buy THAT as an upgrade.
These tuning companies failed miserably with the upgrades to the front, probably because they dont know how it can be done. |

Im not BMW design purist, dont know who is Belichick. Keep in mind, it may be also the problem of the way this website boosts discussion. You always have the grille stuff on front page, always. So you do get lot of bypassing crowd stopping by opining on this chopped nose car, without the consideration for feelings of M3-M4 forum members who must be so bloody tired. trust me, it's not like everyone seeks out m3 forum to shit on your ride, its just the front page brings everyone in. No hard feeling! BMW just made this super polarising design, I think it works better on the GT3 race car. See for comparison. And it also photographs worse than it looks in real life where you look down on the car and you dont see this lower part much. Last edited by Tallest; 12-11-2021 at 07:30 AM.. |

Bill Belichick is considered by most football historians to be the greatest coach of NFL football of all time. With second-place to him being quite far behind. |
