Somewhat related question - if you have a front lip, does that need to be taken off before front bumper removal for any of these grille installs?

No, I didn’t need to, my lip used the same bolts as the bumper. However, I would recommend re-applying a 3M tape in addition to the bolts when re-installing it.

curious, which mesh did you get ?

The mesh is like training wheels on a bike.

Vorsteiner's for the grill which I removed. The mesh in front of the lower cooler is just off of Amazon.

Did you just cut to fit and use Tie Wraps?

I installed the mesh and am happy I did. When I removed my bumper, I had cigarette buts, glass, rocks and a ton of leaves in there. I believe someone on the forum lost a engine due to a Rick hitting a cooler guard? Personally, I think it looks better.

This looks amazing! Do you know which mesh your guy used because I’m hoping to do this exact setup along with my air ducts as well. I see a similar one on Amazon but not sure if that’s what was used. Thanks.

I think he got it on Amazon but then had it powder coated black so it wouldn't chip or flake.

I purchased the one provided by Vorsteiner, I was too lazy to make my own.

Ahhh gotcha! Cause I like how you did everything and it looks super nice. I want to buy the one on Amazon but also don’t want it to chip or flake so don’t know if I should just go with the Vorsteiner one. Thank you!

Thinking I may just go this route and call it a day! They have it on sale right now so might as well just do it but was asking the other person because I really like how he did everything and not just the grille but also the air ducts!

Yep that's what happened to me. The cuts were TERRIBLE!! Just buy the mesh on AMAZON and powdercoat it and have someone cut and install for you. You won't be disappointed.
