Congrats! I just got back from seeing them both and I don't know how I'm going to deal with waiting to get this car. It's so menacing in person, every other car at the dealership looked ancient! They had an M2 CS next to it and it looked like it came out last century with that tiny grille.
Now to decide what interior color as the orange looked phenomenal in person, so much brighter and 'orange'.

Wow, lots of great questions! I didn't see an introduction thread, however if there is one please feel free to move this there. A little about myself:
I just recently retired from the U.S. Army and started a new job in the civilian sector. I have collected plenty of toys over the years however I finally decided it was time to get a "big boy" toy. I currently have a 2018 Ram Powerwagon that rarely gets driven anymore. A little over a year ago I decided to get a fun to drove DD. I certainly wasn't making M3 money at the time so I bought a 2019 Honda Accord 2.0T 6MT. It has been fun to drive but it is far from a sports car. The moment I laid eyes on the G80 M3 I knew that was what I had to have. I called my local dealer and they told me it could be mid 2022 before I was able to get a special order from their dealer due to the wait list and limited allocations. Bummed out, I began to look elsewhere, for example at the AMG C63 S. Thankfully my brother in law has a buddy who was able to get me an allocation and my car is currently in production! My salesman has a similar build a few weeks ahead of mine and he expects his to be delivered by the end of March. I'm hoping that means I should have mine by tax day. I do plan to use this car for it's intended purpose and take it to the track in addition to being my DD. I no doubt will be all over this forum learning everything about track days. If there is anyone in the Philly area who would be willing to show me the ropes, that would also be fantastic! If you have any questions or advice I am all ears. I look forward to learning all I can! Well then welcome to the Bimmerworld !
I'm sure there will be people around your area tracking their cars! Intersting to read that your dealer told you you can't get the car before 2022. Didn't think they have a that long waiting list :O |

I obviously went with a different dealer. Thankfully a buddy of my brother in law was able to get me an allocation right away, although he said he had to pull some strings to get it. What that means I don't know or care honestly. I'm just excited that I will be one of the early ones to have a G80! |
