I actually made the executive decision to go a different route with my allocation/G80. Jist of the story, I'm absolutely enamored with Fire Orange on the G8x, so that was my build color back in April when I put my deposit down. Last week, it was confirmed that BMW would not approve Fire Orange individual orders until next year for MY '24 because the color is exclusive to the 50 Jahre M edition this year. So, if I got a July build date, I'd be looking at late 2023 or early 2024 delivery. I'm patient, but not that patient!

So last week, I worked with a broker to find an allocation for the FO Jahre and he got me one for 5k over MSRP BUT that 5K include paint correction and ceramic coating. To me, worth the price to not have to wait another 14-18 months.

Current status, it's at the port awaiting a ship allocation and I should be taking delivery by the end of November! Very excited for this car. Only permanent option that was on my individual build that wont be on this Jahre edition is the Kylami interior. Still have the bucket seats though! Can't wait to meet up with you all!

I've been at port in Bremerhaven for 46 days now. But had a brief in transit on the 29th of last month so I'm hoping I should be on a Kline boat leaving on the 8th. Scheduled for Baltimore on the 20th so really hoping I have it by the end of the month! When are you picking yours up?

That'll be a nice little Christmas present lol. Glad to see I'm not the only one going way out of state to get mine. My dealers in Louisville so gotta figure out how I'm gonna make that trip if I sell my current car private before that one gets here instead of using it as trade. Hope I get to see the fire orange in person! Definitely would've been my choice if I was getting a Jahre

Any updates for allocations or shipping from anyone in here? My car should be to Baltimore in the next 6-7 days. Another week to the dealer in Louisville and then I decided to get it shipped directly here instead of driving all that way. So about two and a half to three weeks out barring any delays. Hope I like the tanzanite blue in person lol. Would love to meet up with some of y'all when it gets here!

My Fire Orange Jahre just got to the dealership! I found a FO allocation at a dealership up in Connecticut so won't be taking delivery for another month since I have to fly up there.

Post paint correction, ceramic, and PPF at Firehouse Auto Spa. If you guys need a detail shop hit up Austin at the St. John’s Bluff location. I’m not affiliated with them but they did great work on my last car and did a great job on the new G80. PM me if you want contact info!

Can’t wait to see it in person!! After seeing my recent pickup my dad was actually a huge fan. Originally wanted a fire orange but found him a Technoviolet in New Jersey (always has to one up me lol) that he should take delivery of here soon thanks to nextlevelautobrokersdc. 2 Jahre’s heading to the 904! Also just realized this is the first Jahre I’ve seen with the carbon fiber ducts. Did you spec this specifically? Or did that particular dealer just know what M performance parts to put on it? I see the entire diffuser is carbon plus the side skirts. Looks absolutely incredible

Curious what dealership you got the TV Jahre from!? I got my allocation at BMW of Greenwich (CT). Very excited to hear that two Jahre’s are coming to Jax!

So long story short, I knew I wanted to take delivery in CT and drive it back, so I needed it to be PPF’d. My CA recommended the body shop to get it PPF’d and he did me a favor and had 3rd party carbon installed prior to PPF. Had the 3rd party send the parts to him and his service department installed before PPF so they could be protected. Extra carbon installed that wasn’t on the original spec were the air ducts, mirror caps, side skirts, side grills and the whole rear diffuser. RW Carbon provided all the extra carbon parts.

It was a huge life in regards to a project prior to pickup but my guys at BMW of Greenwich took big time care of me!

That is some incredible support from a dealer. Glad you found a good one. And I really thought that extra carbon was OEM M Performance stuff! Guess I know who I’m going with for any extra carbon down the line. As far as the dealer he bought from, I actually have no idea lol. I did everything with the broker for him and then the dealer contacted him directly to finalize the deal. I really haven’t gotten any updates besides him saying he was good to go and basically just waiting on paperwork to arrive and the car to get shipped. I’ll find out tomorrow exactly where it came from.
