I’ve left the top open because it’s got the line. Bottom part, I got straddle design mesh

I mean no one really likes to wear condoms for protection and they don’t look great in use but it does serve a function… just like the mesh.

Mesh or no mesh?

Hey man did you make the mesh yourself or did you purchase it from somewhere. I am in a Canada and would prefer the mesh as I drive during winter.

I decided against mesh and ordered the CSF Heat Exchanger and CSF Transmission cooler that have their own mesh. I suppose mesh could also be applied like the CSF items to the stock parts deeper into the grill on the parts requiring protection, instead of directly to the back of the grill if someone wanted.

You're adding something like 20-30% in surface area (blockage). I guess if you don't track or have cooling issues then it doesn't matter. I have still yet to see a damaged radiator or oil cooler from debris on one of these cars. The honeycomb looks cool.

With mesh, it may suite better with those don't have carbon inlets I guess.

It's your own personal decision.
Completely agree, team no mesh.

This. Why would anyone deliberately mess with designed amount of airflow, especially in a performance car.

The top part of the radiator has the horizontal mesh cover right next to the radiator itself. You can buy the oem mesh and zip tie similar to the bottom part of the radiator, and leave the the front grill mesh-free alone.

It will give you the best of both worlds.

What do you mean Scully? Even if every M4 looks like a CSL, only a CSL IS a CSL. I don't see 911s tricked up to look like GT3s impacting the value of GT3s, why should this be any different?

OEM grille with no mesh. I can understand personalizing a vehicle but taking off something that looked good and replacing it with something that doesn't makes no sense. The OEM grill did a much better job of hiding and protecting the radiator. Who wants to see so much of the radiator and then have to add protection for it because it is now so exposed. I would have put the money into a better looking rear spoiler. That's just my opinion.

That looks good.
But why not attach it to the radiator instead, that will keep the look of the grill factory clean

I prefer the mesh look and in fact waiting on getting my vorsteiner CF grille with mesh. Without it looks incomplete somehow and of course the protection factor is there too. For me, cosmetically even without the protection, mesh would have been a must. With everyone having different preferences, shows how subjective something like this is.

I am also waiting on my Vorsteiner CF grills with the mesh they install.

Yeah I did the same. I wanted protection on the bottom as it doesn't have the grit guard that the top does. I think it looks good. It's hard to tell it's even there unless you get up close.
