Need everyone's help on CSL grill mesh protection setup

What do you all think of this? The mesh is the same shaped as the mesh in the non carbon fiber package air inlets.

Mesh or no mesh?

I put mesh on my Vorsteiner grilles and have gotten a lot of complements on it.

Thanks for posting that, helps to make the decision seeing the same mesh design on the car.

I cut the mesh into uppers and lowers. Then I will use clamps to hold the mesh tight to the outer portion of the inner grill and will use epoxy. Mesh is made of ABS plastic and easy to cut with a utility blade.

I have tried with mesh for a few weeks and while the mesh may help to protect on radiator, it cheapens the look of the car. The car just looks average and like any car that has a front mesh.

The grill without it makes the car look more aggressive and stand out, especially those with front carbon air inlets and front lip.

With mesh, it may suite better with those don't have carbon inlets I guess.

It's your own personal decision.

No mesh. Looks too cheap/aftermarket. Reminds me of high school mods.

Can the mesh be placed over or closer to the radiators it is meant to protect? That way it might be less visible.

Everyone going to be trying to make their car look like a CSL. So much for that car's long term value.

I saw what Joe Achilles grille looked after he came back from a night rally. Some sort of protection would be nice that is more toward the radiator and less noticeable from the front. I think if you are changing out the grille to be more open, adding the mesh is counterproductive.

My 2006 E46 M3 ZCP was a CSL clone (at one point before track incidents), fairly certain I didn't disrupt the market for CSL. Only
